Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

In the year of 1975, I had a primary car which got 31 MPG. I kept the car for ten years. At that time There was not an energy plan and there has never been a serious alternative energy plan. I think everybody understands why this never has occurred.
Right now at this time, there is not any hurry up coordination of suppling alternative energy autos and their fuel/energy systems. The main reasons for this are the prohibited cost to the consumers and all of the older autos still in use.
Why is the United States 40 - 50 years behind with it's mas transportaton systems?

The first things needed to be done are to make sure there is a clearer explaination of the separation of how electric power is produced and that of our transportation systems, where most of the imported oil is used.

We have a conflict on our hands: What about the fact that everyone who has any control of our trade policies are always saying "Globalization" is here to stay, so are we being fed a false line in making us think that the "controllers" really have "oil independence" for the USA as their goal?

The problems are, how will we be able to overcome the global economy, trade polices and separate the United States from the many "oil players" in the world by stopping giving them our money? It isn't just the oil being imported,
it is also all of the other imported goods being produced in other countries by the Global corporations and sold here in the US, which also take our out going billions of dollars.

As of this time the United States does not import any Electric energy from other countries unless there is some passed through "grid" on certain occasions. from Canada.

Now at this time in history, it's good that people are aware of the need for energy conservation and the need to get off of using all foreign supplies..

What excites you about this campaign?

What does not excite me about this "false" misconceptions getting free and independent of foreign global oil supplies. Because we really need to become more independent by reducing our imports to get a better balance between our exports and our imports.

Where does our military have to bu their oil/fuel supplies when they are stationed in foreign countries?

Just check to see where most of the wind mills for producing our wind electric energy are built.

Another point is the "cost" of everything involved with using of alternative oil/fuels/electric/fuel cells, including the vehicles, while our economy and money supplies are drying up for the masses of our middle class people.

…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONSWe need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
