I agree about CNG changeover for vehicles, and can't see how a complete changeover could happen. If it does, CNG will cost more than oil. The only good it will do is move the oil money going overseas back here, A step in the right direction I would say. I see The Pickens Plan as a way to get people moving some where, not just setting there using oil, thinking they can do nothing to help themselves

I hope the Vermont group will come up with Ideas of their own and find many ways to help all of Vermont become energy independent. Start Non profits to help low income people and small businesses with energy changeover and conservation. Get Businesses working with solar, wind and hydro connected with investors and customers bringing in affordable solutions in all areas. Finding non invasive ways to set up wind, solar and hydro generating systems (small, regional and local ones preferred). Using local farms and land to grow our food instead of shipping it all in, ect...
The way I see it is, in Vermont the people will do what they have to do to survive, just like earlier generations. If we don't come up with ways to generate renewable clean energy that even the "view lookers" can get along with now. Everyone will have to put up with what happens later..... or be shot buy the owner protecting their energy source.
