- I work as a Professor in Higher Ed, and as a consultant helping companies cut cost by implementing sustainable innovative strategies that lead to effective International Trade and Global Brands.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- To make USA totally energy independent. Other countries even underdeveloped ones have done it, why can't we do it?
Also, the future of our children. We cannot live a legacy of failures to future generations. Our ancestors did a better job. It is our responsibility to stand out and make changes.

- I can help organizing and moderating town halls, seminars, get the local media, government and private sectors involved

General John Osborn here. I am your District FL-11 Leader for Pickens Plan. We need YOU more than ever. Our organization has evolved and your role has become very clear. Come to the Pickens Plan website and add yourself to my friend list and also the District Group. Make firm plans to attend our monthly meetings, you will see the Pickens Plan has had new life breathed into it. Bring a friend, we have plenty of seating. Under my leadership you can have a tangible role in the operation of the district. You will be meeting “Mark Sharpe” of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners at the September meeting. I assure you this will be interesting and informative.

We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. It is the easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far.
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS OUR REVOLUTION.... and we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.

Good News #1
A recent prediction by the American Solar Energy Society found that energy efficient businesses were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2020 that number is expected to reach 30 million.
Good News #2
The US National Association of Home Builders announced that more than 1,000 builders and refurbishes have earned its Green Professional Certification since it was introduced February on this year.
This is phenomenal growth!
My skill sets are website development, graphic design and network marketing. Last Spring a small group of us launched a local city magazine that focuses on anything Green. We also launched a green campaign called “Kiss The Earth Green”, registered a few domain names and launched a website to manage the new traffic and database. The magazine and website have surpassed all of our expectations.

As an entrepreneur and home business professional, my plan is to help drive this new green industry forward and position myself for its expected phenomenal growth. Are you having success with something you want to share? I have a marketing system that will help sell or expose any product, service or idea you have. YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pldege petition drive.

Welcome aboard. I can't tell you what to organize because it appears to be specific to where you live. Your town or city may have all the right pieces in place, it probably does not.
I am trying to get a meeting with my congressional rep and senators. I have put together a letter with others help and sent it out. I am also trying to affect my city and state zoning laws by lobbying them to change. Anything you can afford to do time wise is what is needed. This problem is big and there is no silver bullet. It will only die by the death of a thousand cuts. Each one of us has a small knife and we need to make our mark.
Each of us has to change our behavior and then change the laws, zoning and attitudes of others around us. If you need help, let me know. I will do what I can though it might not be much. I will help.
Most of all, we can use people who can "educate" people. Someone like you, Carmen is very valuable. Please let me know if I can help. Good luck.
