We do need an Energy Manhattan Project supervised by civilians. Being the worlds policeman has always been a very expensive undertaking. Now that we have to borrow 43 cents of every dollar spent by government, it makes a great deal of sense to pull the belt in. To be a superpower requires that we be an economic superpower as well---we must cut spending! Bringing our people home would save a lot of money that we do not have. Everyone should be reading your article's. We are waiting with baited breath for your new book.
