Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
During the Carter Administration, I had a small Solar Energy business. I sold and installed Domestic Hot Water systems, and Solar/Air home heating systems. I also installed a Domestic Hot Water system on my own home. My home was Natural Gas heating/cooking. My Gas Bill in January was $36. After installing DHW, my Gas Bill in February was $9.
What excites you about this campaign?
Mr. Blumenauer (D-OR3) is with us. He has consistantly gotten very high marks from organizations like the NRDC, Sierra Club and others. Having a friendly ear in congress can only help us with our efforts.
What do you want to do to help?
Lobby Congress through Mr. Blumenauer's office.

I think we definitely need near term support so as to reduce long term costs. Unfortunately it hasn't been consistent, so we keep ramping up investments, then dropping it - which means that next time it has to be high again to make an impact. We probably need alt-energy investments/tax-incentives that are based on dollar-cost-averaging. By keeping the research dollars constant, we can maintain a downward trend in the cost of alt energy. Just a thought.
Thanks again for the post. The more info the better for all of us.
I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I do read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.
*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
On the home page, click on About The Plan ~ Boone Cam ~ Blog - You’ll see the Pie-graph Mechanics.
Our future is focus 1- at this point in time! If not now, When? If not you, WHO?
Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority.

If you would rather wait on a leader role, that’s ok we need helpers. An organization cannot be all chiefs.
There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Other fellow greeters will give you a more in depth list of things to do. Again, Welcome; Tom
Welcome. We appreciate you setting up an active account.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
