I picked up the vehicle from Manheim the GSA contractor, drove it to my mechanic's place, checked the VIN on Sunday to check against the federal government's title and their bill of sale receipt. The VIN checks out against the paperwork.
It is very frustrating. My mechanic is advising to (illegally) drive the flex-fuel
CGN-gasoline auto to my insurance company with the title from the federal government to prove the car exists!
I will call the GSA to see if this is a salvage title.

- CNG Auto Insurance
I am seeking auto insurance for the dual-fuel CNG-gasoline used auto I recently purchased from the federal government through auction. My auto insurance company, 21st Century formerly AIG, says my VIN number is not listed. When I told them about the type of auto I purchased, 21st Century said they could not insure a modified auto, even though this CNG dual-fuel auto appears to have been right from the Chevrolet factory, because they would not know how to value a "modified" vehicle if it damaged. When I contacted my mother's auto insurance company, Amica, they searched three data based for the CNG dual-fuel VIN and could not find it and therefore could not insure it. Without auto insurance, I can not legally drive this vehicle and can not consume CNG as a transportation fuel.
Do you or any one in the PickenPlan organization have any direct leads to assist me in locating an insurance company that can insure this dual-fuel CNG-gasoline used auto?

We are in the midst of putting together a Town Hall meeting (Fall 09) w/Mr. Pickens if possible, and, a possible NJ Green event. We have 13 members of the delegation, with some bright talented people. Your experience w/CNG vehicles would be a WONDERFUL addition to our group and it's efforts to put NJ on the map as the leader in energy! Please, Please, Please....do I sound desperate???? You would really like the guys and gals in our delegation and it's alot of e-mailing, etc., w/some conference calls here and there.

- I work for a little Bavarian car company which is known for its promotion of hydrogen power and now fully electric powered vehicles. I've also had some experience with CNG vehicles.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I beleive that the future of this country's economy will be hinging on energy cost, production and storage.
- What do you want to do to help?
- All I can do to help push things along in the right direction. I feel that this effort is right in line with my views and wishes for the future of our country. We need more people of strong vision who have the resolve to take action banding together.
