Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Our family has been in ranching and oil for years. As I raise 4 kids and see the need for changes in our energy supply system, I am consulting to other green technologies for housing, private fuel supplies. I see the support from someone as strong as Mr. Pickens able to provide credibility that a Nader or Gore doesn't have. I believe we need big business involved in alternative enegeries and not just a hippie push to drive VW's.... LOL.....I want to be a part of it...
What excites you about this campaign?
Combined with above, I think it is financially viable, healthy, and leads the US back to a position of power and self sufficiency.
What do you want to do to help?
local press, organization, love to be part as a land man...how do you need help!

Welcome Charles and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan.

YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

PLEASE DOWLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
In addition to the PLEDGE, we now also have a RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON on the main page, top right. Fill out the standard form and the letter is sent to YOUR Governor and Washington Representatives! Easy breezy. Perfect timing considering the energy bill is coming up. We must beat back the lobbyists!

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action!

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your city or state, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and help with the pledge petition drive.

Thanks again for joining us.

Hey Charles, I work at CMT in Nashville and Brian Phillips (Executive) as well as the Facilities Dept. are very interested in "Going Green." I feel very confident that if you and a representative organization present the Picken's Plan or a proposal for publicity, they just may be willing to participate.

Let me know what you think or if I can help in any way.

Charles,

My grandfather once told to never, NEVER sell the land since you will never get it back. Please look into other was of cutting cost, maybe leasing or even an old fashion "Share Croping" arrangement.

I am most interested in decentralizing the control of electrical power, give to individuals and local communities. Small scaleable Wind Power changes the control and command of electric power. These giant turbines work on any scale, all the way down to one you can buy from me for the price of a car. Pays itself off in about the same time frame, then you have a small income, or a little extra juice for a plug-in hybrid auto, maybe replace your need for natural gas cooking and heating with your wind turbine electric power.

I can help you with small wind turbines and all you need is an acre to start with. At any scale it can be proftable. Wind Energy is a financial opportunity for all. Check out Small Wind turbines

Why wind? Because unlike any other domestic renewable energy product, we can implement wind power right now. No other renewable energy source has potential to immediately impact our energy portfolio like wind power.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that our country needs to make a stronger effort toward alternative energy sources. With the support of highly respected business individuals, like Boone Pickens, others in leadership positions will take notice and join the effort.

It excites me in that it uses wind...at least a renewable. But what really gets me excited is the level of anxiety I experience by having an oil man capitulate, sell his holdings in coal and announce he's going to "Save America." I suspect that Pickens is willing to short oil while he establishes a new way to hook everyone up to already established distribution centers (gas stations) to yet another energy source where he profits beyond our wildest dreams. One of the "whales" as we say in Vegas had to break rank and go with a new plan...but the plan had to be one where the infrastructure already established could be used to exploit the masses. CNG, huh? Well, America is just broke enough and desperate enough to reach out and grab what they see as the only life raft in sight. What's wrong with the electric battery and PVC? That much energy independence for Americans just doesn't fit your business model, does it Boone? Oh, brother.
