Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
No
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I've lived off the grid at several times in my life and have been involved in building alternative power structures. (including my own still at 14!~)
What excites you about this campaign?
How "you" are excited. I feel like someone has stepped up with the truth about the nature of global power and energy, and is speaking with grand vision about what's needed to make things better. I'm not a fan of Pickens but what I'm seeing is how this isn't about any one person but about our country and the world. I don’t mean to sound conspiratorial whacky, but it kind of reminds me of Eisenhower’s speech on the military-industrial complex ... Power to the people baby! LOL
What do you want to do to help?
Whatever one man can do; from labor to brain, boots on the ground to voice in the air, just one person who is willing to stand up for what's right and just.

Dr. Harvey Bryan: Professor of the ASU College of Design. Harvey Bryan is a specialist in building technology who has written over sixty papers and articles, many of which focus on the interface between technology and the design of ecologically-responsible environments. He has served on the design faculties of MIT, Harvard, and UCLA, where his research received support from numerous public and private sponsors. Dr Bryan has a B.Arch. from ASU, an M.Arch., M.S. and a Ph.D., all from the University of California at Berkeley and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
Sandy Bahr: Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter - Sandy is the Grand Canyon (Arizona) Chapter lobbyist where she is tackling sprawl head on. Sandy, who once helped design subdivisions working for a small civil engineering firm, now leads the fight against the houses that creep farther and farther into the remaining open space, driving up taxes and creating a brown cloud of smog that hovers over her home in downtown Phoenix.
Michael Neary: President, Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association. Michael is the principal of Desert Sun Solar, Inc., which has been involved in a variety of activities in the solar industry for the past fifteen years. Mr. Neary is also the executive director of the Arizona chapter of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and has worked with local solar companies on marketing, product development, and meeting national standards.
Mendhal Aboudi: Mendhal is Advent Solar's Dir of Strategic Planning. Mendhal is also Chairman of the Board of Directors for the fastest growing Solar PV Integrator/Installer (Arizona Green Power) where he provides consultation on Solar PV projects and energy consumption.
Alex Nelson of Arizona Public Interest Research Group. Arizona PIRG takes on powerful interests on behalf of Arizona's citizens, working to win concrete results for our health and our well-being. With a strong network of researchers, advocates, organizers and students across the state. Arizona PIRG is an advocate for the public interest. When consumers are cheated, or our natural environment is threatened, or the voices of ordinary citizens are drowned out by special interest lobbyists, Arizona PIRG speaks up and takes action.
Mick Dalrymple: a.k.a.Green co-founder Mick Dalrymple helped start the Arizona Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and now serves on the national Board of the organization. He created the TV series Build It Green!, which PBS seeks to distribute nationally and organized the first Cinema Verde Sustainable Film Festival as part of the 2006 Green Building Expo in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dalrymple worked with a task force to update the Scottsdale Green Building Program’s residential checklist, which launched in September, 2006. He is a frequent speaker on green building and LEED to citizen groups and professionals.
Jon Findley - Sierra Club, Grand Canyon Chapter. Jon is a technical writer, editior, & Web site consultant. Jon is also a former teacher with degrees in biology & environmental science. Jon is particularly interested in energy use and alternative energy sources and has been working in renewable energy and environmental issues for many years. Jon works with non-profits in promoting renewable energy and the sustainable generation of power.
Chris,
How many calls have you made so far?
Well, we’ve heard from Boone again, the stimulus bill has some stuff in it we will all like, but not everything we want, but it’s an important start. Please call your leaders in Washington again and ask them to support it. Then email me with a report of how many total calls you made and who you talked to so I can report for our district to headquarters.
Thanks for your efforts,
Dave Clement

Yes, indeed. Wouldn't that be a kick! Let's see, how far could we run up the price of wood gas on speculation? I have been fascinated by the precipitous fall in the price of oil (it is lost almost 1/3 of it's "value" in the past two weeks). What that suggests to me is that the apparent rise was not due to pumping less, or lower refining capabilities, or even increased demand from China and India, but, rather, pure financial speculation. It will be very interesting to see where the price of a barrel of light, sweet crude comes to rest.
The old saying about when America sneezes, the world catches cold, is still true. Even in shambles, our economy is the strongest in the world. But I do not want us to be at the mercy of unfriendly and comtemptuous nations for the things we need, especially, fuel. but it is part of a larger picture. we need to rebuild American industry and get out of being primarily a service economy. We need to rescue our manufacturing saector far more than we need to bail out our bankers!
Thank you! I believe that this is a strong possibility. We are closing in on 1M members. In another three weeks, we may double that, adn three weeks form then, we may double it again. There are many of us who have been thinking about solutions to this since we first heard about peak oil, five or so years ago. If we can harness that ingenuity and enthusiasm, we can be free from the stranglehold of foreign oil in less than ten years. We may still be customers, but not dependents. Katherine
Like your pictures. We visited out there some years ago. Had an interesting visit with the Cibecue Apache near Showlow. My daughters were penpals with some girls on the reservation. I'm browing around to see if there are some avenues to camp on natural gas powered hybrids to the power grid. Distributed generation is probably more economically viable with hybrid cars. Thanks for the invite.
Hi PP member,

It all began with a formula and a hypothesis and now Gem Energy is proven power which emits a very low frequency and produces several forms of energy, including Alternate Current, Direct Current, and Pulse Power…!
G.E.M. Technologies has completed 4 rounds of testing on its Self-Sustaining Energy Process and has now proven Gem Energy to be safe, clean, and sustaining. Further research and testing is required to further define and evaluate this breakthrough energy process and delivery system.
By tapping into this inexhaustible unified field of energy we not only revolutionize the world's economy, we restore the Earth's atmosphere, water sources, and air quality, while simultaneously protecting and preserving all forms of life on our planet for future generations to come...
G.E.M. Technologies is seeking potential partners and/or investors to fund additional testing & prototyping for the development of this technology. Omega Energy Cell are visionary products. Once designed these energy cells will be inexpensive to reproduce, will never need recharging, and will produce zero emissions.

HI CHRIS
Power to the people is right. ONE MAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I need you on this if you can.....
After you get your friends to join the site, and send your letters off to Congress....I hope you will work to join the "100CLUB"... for members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.
PLEDGES are the vehicle that can drive our numbers, we need to use them! It is a very easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 280 so far. I have 48 friends, that I know of, who are working on the challenge. By the end of the week that will be 5,000 new supporters of this plan- 4 times the number that joined the plan online this week.... with just 49 people!
IMAGINE what we could do if everyone that said they would do
anything they could to get this done, joined the "100CLUB"
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Would like your help.

What do you think the price of oil going down will do to PickensPlan? Much less the stock market bust.
Just saying hello to a few Pickens friends. Can you believe we have been on this site for 2 months?
We passed a large wind farm on the way to Colorado Springs last week. I got so excited.
