Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I was born, raised, and educated in Germany and came to the US 10 years ago. I'm an engineer (Computer Science/Electrical Engineering Masters or Diploma-Engineer in Technical Information Science), a project manager, and analyst and I am passionate about excellence, quality, and--most of all--sustainability.
Between 2003 and 2006, I've designed and built an off-the-grid, off-the-well, and off-the-furnace energy-efficient house with 21st century comfort that looks and feels like a normal house yet will save me about $300,000 in utility bills over the next 30 years.

I'm also in the process of launching a Consultancy for Environmentally-friendly and Energy-Efficient Living, offering Home Energy Audits, Utility Bill Reduction Plans, and assistance with green remodels and new construction.

What excites you about this campaign?
that it sends the right message in a highly polished way.
that it seems to be promoted by a historically rather conservative (?)individual.
that it's using web 2.0
What do you want to do to help?
clarify and expand the message:
* e.g., the 20% statistic from the Department of Energy relies on the fact that peak demand can be met with easily on- and off-line gas power plants.
* e.g., that a 20-30% reduction can be achieved by S.M.A.R.T. Conservation [(c) 2008] alone - Sustainable, Meaningful, Achievable, Repeatable, and Technology-supported.

Hallo Christian,

Linda Ford sends Hello!
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. We need your help.

There is a perfect storm of events happening right now that create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.

Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.

Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
