US Energy: All of the Above

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
With a career in the oil industry, I obviously have an interest in domestically drilling oil and natural gas. However, I have researched alternative energy, such as solar and wind power, for two decades. I was always interested in living "off the grid", and even selling energy back to electric coops, and would like to reclaim our Founding Fathers' idea of self-reliance on a national level.
What excites you about this campaign?
We will own our destiny when we control our energy.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to lend my company (marketing, contributions) and my personal time (volunteering) to supporting the Pickens Plan. As a registered Republican in Florida, I have already begun talking to McCain supporters on a local level, educating them about this plan. Incidentally, over 8% of the current members of the Pickens Plan community are in Florida--Go Solar Power!

Palin Says Florida "Richly Blessed" with Alternative Energy

Gov. Sarah Palin said in her Jacksonville rally speech today that the McCain-Palin energy policy includes an "all of the above" approach, phrasing that is familiar to proponents of the Pickens Plan. She advocated not only "drill here, drill now," but also exploring solar and wind energy alternatives to traditional domestic oil drilling.

Palin's home state of Alaska produces 20% of the nation's domestic oil and natural gas, and Palin states that she has pushed forward… Continue

Pickens Says Palin Gets It!

In case anyone missed what Mr. Pickens said about his visit with Gov. Sarah Palin:
"Governor Palin comes from an energy state, and I’ll tell you, she gets this energy situation. We talked about it like two oil and gas professionals."
Endorsed as an energy professional by an oil tycoon, that's huge! That's hope...

Natural Gas: Pickens Plan After-Debate Chat

The Pickens Plan Chat last night clarified the way both candidates address reducing our dependence on foreign oil. Neither one totally gets it...

New Army member Mark Sheldon asked, "how many in congress have signed up for your plan?"

McCain, Palin Speak Pickens-ese

When I attended the McCain Tampa rally Tuesday, I noted that Sen. John McCain has begun using buzzwords those of us involved in the Pickens Plan know well. While he called for America to "drill and drill" as usual, he mentioned this as a "bridge" to the future, to alternative energy. Later this week, Gov. Sarah Palin called for "safe, reliable and ethical drilling" of oil and natural gas. She quoted domestic reserve numbers to enlighten those who may doubt that we have significant… Continue

Drilling Natural Gas: A Little History

Here is a little history of natural gas drilling in an area we are currently planning to drill, compliments of our geologist.

Each lease (above) is located in north-central West Virginia. The petroleum industry dates back to the 1800s in the Appalachian Basin, the oldest petroleum producing area in the world. Until 1924 West Virginia was the largest natural gas producing state in the US. Currently, it is the fourteenth… Continue

See Drilling Natural Gas in the Marcellus

Greetings, and thanks for helping to push the Plan!

I will provide photos of natural gas drilling and descriptions of how the process works here. As an officer of an oil company that is drilling for natural gas in West Virginia, I want to educate people about this first big step away from foreign oil. It's been going on for over a century...

Greetings

Allen Hydro Energy Corporation (AHEC) a renewable energy startup has a US Patented Process for generating large-scale hydroelectricity from within a 70-story building by reusing the same water.  It's the solution to Global Warming.  Check it out at http://www.ahecEnergy.com

I'm seeking seed investment to prevent this idea from following the same faith as the electric car decades ago.

Yes – I introduced my HEV technology to Ford about 1988 and then again in 1995. I allowed my patent to abandon in 1998. Honda and Toyota were the first to introduce their versions in 1998. It took EATON until 2006 and now Ford with their Fusion and the Mercury Milan 2009. I’m just glad it’s being built. Now it’s up to the American people to buy them. GM still hasn’t introduced a hybrid. The Obama people’s car is still lagging. They were idiots 20 years ago and still are.

I don’t mind burning carbon fuels. I just think we should burn less. I’m for all alternative energies that will get us off Middle Eastern Oil. NG from Alaska is great. Yes - Palin gets it. Hybrid Electric Vehicle’s are a method of burning less carbon and finally after 35 years America is beginning to understand what an HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) is; however, they are still a little confused about the impact it can have in lessening our dependence on Middle Eastern oil.

Hello Christiane,

Years ago I owned a home on Lake Seminole in St. Petersburg. My Cousin Elisabeth in Palm Beach is in the Pickens Army. Florida is a great state, hopefully I still have a few friends there. It is a pleasure and an honor to be associated with you and other Pickens Army Members. Hopefully we will reach 40,000,000 soon and be as large as AARP. It is exciting to be a part of this movement.

Hi Christiane:

Yes, a grass roots movement to regain our independence is right on point. Mr. Pickens Plan is still the 'only plan on the table', as hard to believe as that is. I often think than the members of Congress don't even know where 'the wall socket is to plug in the light', unless it is to pad their retirement.

This movement will hopefully grow to a powerful voting block able to demand our voices are heard.

You have a great day,
Walter
