- I am a teacher and have been using NEED.org for many years to teach about energy. My students have been to the Nat'l Youth Awards for NEED (National energy education development)--several times! Actually took the first GA team--on the 25th anniversary of NEED's beginning. Pretty cool--as Jimmy Carter had a lot to do with the beginning of NEED.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- It is was I have been teaching my students since 1999. The kids get it and feel so helpless in getting the message out. This plan is like their plan--they have stake in it.
- What do you want to do to help?
- What could I do? I plan to download the web seminar & show it to the kids--maybe put a link on my web site.

I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
*************Please, I ask the first sites you visit to get accurate info and articles to see pretty much what the plan is about and where the plan stands, and please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.

Looks like the much talked about stimulus package passed. Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority. Now is the time we hammer our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastruture changes; allowing grants & insentives to help us achieve the energy independance goal!!!

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.

I see we share a great friend in Leslie, one of the busiest worker-bees on the PP. I beleive she has given up sleep in order to welcome new members, Literally in the 1000's.
