- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I don't have any real experience but I am an advocate. I take the time to read all about the new technologies that will hopefully come on line soon.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The fact that an oil man has come out and said the obvious. I have long believed that the solution to our energy problem would not come from small start up/alternative energy groups acting alone, but from big oil itself. Mr. Pickens has the money and the clout to make a dent and I am here to do anything I can to help.
Our dependence on foreign oil is hurting this country not just economically but politically as well. The security problems in the middle east cause us to spend billions (trillions?) of dollars protecting our interests in that area. If we can stop importing oil from that region, we can divert those costs to meeting other more urgent needs here at home.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Donate money, organize groups to promote the plan to our congressmen and senators to get them to finally act in a responsible way that makes sense for America.
