Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
i have no experience personally except a little with solar energy. I have a great understanding of the ideas and concepts of what alternative energy can do for us.
What excites you about this campaign?
I am a college student at East Central University majoring in Chemistry and Biology. This chemical background and a great interest in science and technology drives me to be a part of this plan. I have been so intrigued by the Picken's Plan. Finally someone is stepping up to the plate to take a stand for America. why should we depend on other countries for our energy when we have the resources, people, and technology right here in the good ole USA!!!
What do you want to do to help?
Anything! name it and i will be there. whether it would be to make appearances at public meetings, starting a support group in our area to marching to the capitol to let our leaders know what the American people want and need.

Merry Christmas Chuck,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Chuck, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Hello Chuck, These new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits are shipping now. They are sleek, attractive, and well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, home theatre, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin your Personal Energy Plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in winter, Your Sun shines stronger in summer. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs from day one and Chuck, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Check these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Hi Chuck

Thanks for helping your university. Hope you can get to more that 3! Thanks for your efforts.

Here is another thought!.....
Our window of golden opportunity is narrowing. We must put in a really hard push to build this army to a size that will beat back the lobbyists and special interests. We are so close to a complete paradigm shift of thought on energy in this country, let's clinch the deal! What will it take 10, 20 million? We can do it!

Petitons are the answer! I find it easiest to download one pledge, cut off Boone's lines and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most find it easier to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition. The word "pledge" is scarier. I say, "Would you sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Simple and hard to not agree with! Hand them the clipboard. It works.

The best results are with folks who put themselves where there are lots of people, and somehow draw attention to themselves, so they have to do less cold solicitiation. Some used signs, some buttons, some hats and visors. Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page, so you don't have to go looking for it)

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge, that I know of. Surely, there are many more, as it is mentioned in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.

This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. ARE YOU IN?

Notes:

1. I do not require the signer to give their email if they are reticent. Don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

2. When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will invite you to be a member of the 100CLUB! Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!

I hope you can find the feelings that you had when you first saw this plan and signed up to help. When you looked at it and said, WOW, we could really get this turned around!

Best
Kim

Chuck,

I am fascinated by the algae to oil concept. You may wish to contact Frank "Palani" Cipriani one of my friends with the Pickens Plan.
He has designed an Algal PhotoBioReactor System and on August 28, 2006, transferred the technology to a developer of zero-carbon footprint District Energy Systems, to be powered by Algal biomass to produce Electricity and Biofuels. HeI believes that this technology if developed into an "Industry" in the near future, is a significant solution to alternative Energy. www.biofarmshawaii.com

Chuck,
As a student at East Central U, check into Pickens U on the Main page. Check your state, see if ECU is listed. If not, please consider being an ambassador and starting a chapter there.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.

Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

If you answered "YES" to interested in becoming an organizer, there are several things I can recommend. Join the following Groups:
Organizers & Leaders
OnLine Action Army
Guides & Materials for New Members

On the upper right corner of Your Page, click on "States" to visit the Push Pickens Community for your state.

Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state. You can find them to the right, in the Featured Memberssection. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PICKENS U has been formed for college alumni and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to help coordinate the pledge drive, please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE.
Join the Guides and Materials for New Members Group. Lot's of good information there.
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

IDEAS & PROPOSALS FOR PICKENS
I know that many of you have great ideas and proposals that you would like to get in front of Boone's team...
They asked us to have you submit all ideas/proposals in writing to the Pickens Plan at: PO Box 12123 Dallas TX 75225.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. If there is any way I can help, please, let me know. If I don't have the answer, I will do my very best to get you the answer.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS .
