Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I am a general contractor and I'm real interested in building homes that are energy efficient and that generate as much of it's own energy as possible. I believe every new home built should at least generate some of it's own energy.

What excites you about this campaign?

This campaign makes sense. It is not just flapping of the lips to passify the masses. Our politicians can't seem to get things done so maybe an oil man with a vision and thousands of supporters can stand together to make a difference!

What do you want to do to help?

I would do what I can to help.

Plastic bags, which were introduced in 1977, account for 90 percent of the bags used in stores. An estimated 100 billion of them are used in the United States each year -- about 332 per person. It takes 12 million barrels of oil to produce 100 billion plastic bags.

Do you really need that bottle of water?!?

In the U.S., we use 17 million barrels of oil annually to produce plastic water bottles, enough to fuel more than 1 million American cars for a year.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
