NG & The U.S. Postal Service

Has anyone run numbers on how much money the U.S. Posal Service would save if they were to use NG powered vehicles in their nationwide fleet? The savings would keep postage rates in check for decades and talk about cleaner air.......

Did you know that Hawkeye Community College won the Green Education Award and is getting a home refueling system called Phill for CNG vehicles like the 2006 Honda Civic GX they are leasing for $1 a month? Both the Phill and the GX were part of the Green Education Award from hope3.org.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan.
Please bring 5 folks to join the site today, so that we can build a big enough voice that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interest, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to think that we could be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not to get this done when we had the chance.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan. Print downloadable flyers and put them in your car and/or business window.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, scientists, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and will be helping with a petition drive soon.
