Very powerful position. Would like to get a group together to meet with him in Boston. This could really be huge. Pickens group requesting a meeting can not be denied. Please email me and we'll set it up. Want to have a meeting beforehand to discuss issues. Read my comment in Boston Globe today after article on Markey. Boston.com

No I'm overseas in the military. I did FAX congressman Markey as I saw he chairs the Select Committe on Energy Independence and Global Warming. I have an email address, michael.kendall@ymail.com , that I made specifically for PickensPlan and this initiative. If you drop me an email, I can add you to the address book I'm creatign and forward you an electronic copy of the fax that waas sent to Congressman Markey's office.
Best Regards and Respectfully,
Mike Kendall

My name is Jim Barrus and I am from Springfield, Massachusetts.
I am starting, with help from Dennis Scott, the ENERGY PARTY for MASSACHUSETTS, as part of the Pickens Plan, a state group.
As you are a member of a district in Massachusetts I hope you will join me so we can become a combined voice for alternative fuel to Congress and Federal officials as well as to state officials
Here is a link on the web site for US Department of Energy - Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, for the ENERGY PARTY for MASSACHUSETTS and for the ENERGY PARTY
This page is for Massachusetts but all states can be checked. It is not just a list of other types of energy that can be used in Massachusetts but it discusses them and the kinds of solar collectors.
Check the sites the links go to. There is a lot of information there.

Below is Dennis Scott's statement about the ENERGY PARTY and what we plan on doing.
Jim Barrus
We started the ENERGY PARTY on the Pickens Plan page in October. Our group became the most active and fastest growing group on the PP. We grew so fast that T. Booneʼs son Mike Pickens noticed us and joined our group two weeks before Christmas. We have more than doubled in size since he joined and this brings me to what I want to talk to you about.
Our members from all over this great country wanted me to start groups for their states. I stared a discussion topic in the ENERGY PARTY group Sunday 1/04/09 asking if anyone from any state would be interested in managing a group for their state. As of today 1/08/09 we have started 10 state groups and I have 3 more to start today. We should have at least 25 started by Saturday 1/10/09 and I hope all by the end of the next week. If you have friends in other states let them know20about our movement
The ENERGY PARTY has become a magnet for like minded people that looked for that change always promised every election, but can never find after the winners have been announced. That mythical legend of change that will fall like manna from heaven only if a politician is elected and more so re-elected, and so stealthily eludes us after the election.
I believe in Booneʼs plan of energy independence and support him 110% and our group is here if and when he needs us during the first 100 days of congress. We will stand with him in his attempt to be partisan in his efforts to sway congress to the fact that our country desperately needs a funded energy program to survive in the future. We have taken it upon ourselves to plan ahead in case he fails. I shouldnʼt say he fails, I mean if congress refuses to see the need for a funded energy policy that is a cure not a band aid.
Let us wait to see what they plan and what T. Boone can accomplish in the Lions Den (Washington). I pray for Boone and our efforts to succeed and for us to get back on track with energy and the economy. This time though I am planning ahead, fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me, and I am ashamed. Fool me three times, not without a fight.
Planning ahead Will not hurt us, not planning at all will. Lets watch and w ait then pounce if we see the need. A charismatic financially viable leader like Ross Perot in 1992 will emerge as we gain in numbers. 2009 is our year to grow with your help. Will it be another billionaire from Texas? I donʼt know.
Mike Pickens and I agree that this is not an attempt to find a presidential candidate at all. History shows us when a 3rd party aims for the White House they fail and we take two or three steps back and stumble to the ground becoming comical fodder for the media. This is to push the Pickens Plan and encourage people to run for congress as a 3rd party candidate in 2010
Gas and diesel will go up again because of OPEC and the fact that the 111th congress is already planning a gas tax.
Congardulations on your usage of solar energy on your dwelling. I know it will work for you and get you off the use of oil.
I happen to live in a co-op apartment and I do not have the capability to do this. If I was in a house right now I would do the same as you.
I 100% agree with you on our ability to search for alternative energy and I thank T Boone Pickens for starting the fire under us with his program. What little I know of the PickensPlan, I am sure he is on the right path. I do wish him well and hope he succeeds in getting our government of their A---s.
Thanks for adding you comment to my note. Good luck to you and yours.
Sincerely,
Ed Magliola
regarding your comment on the ethanol discussion.
I understand what you are saying. I would guess, and believe me I ma speculating on my own here, that he might actually be smarting from all the licks he has been taking over the swiftboat thing. I know a lot of, what should be friendly to his cause, groups are saying just these types of things to him. He should be receiving a welcome reception for the left and the green movements, but many are looking at the Kerry campaign and not very happy.
He may be trying real hard not to unduly influence the political field and attempt to "make amends" by staying out. Remember, this is an opinion, and we all know what they are worth.

Positioning biofuels production in proximity to available feedstock for processing in a small to mid-sized facility is prudent. Production cost is substantially lower than other currently used biomass processing and not limited to any one feedstock. Without the necessity of a large central distillery which would demand expensive feedstock hauling, having distilleries placed to reduce hauling distances to less than 30 miles thus reducing expense. Efficient operation through low cost facility construction and transportation cost-savings are among the advantages of the my companies distilling concept.
Additionally, multiple facilities allow scheduling down-time for repairs in a networked group without disrupting fuel flow. The cost of the distilleries is the same whether it is one large distillery or 5 smaller ones as construction is based on gallons of annual production (exclusive of real estate). Furthermore, due to significant improvements in processing technology, we can sell distilleries at a lower fixed cost per gallon of ethanol capacity.
Technology Description(s):
MY company addresses several merged technologies:
1. Integrated biofuels production for multiple fuel products.
2. Electrical Generation
3. Water resource development by condensing water from the atmosphere and recovering fresh water from the sea.
4. Cellulosic conversion retrofits for existing conventional distilleries.
5. Automotive retrofit technologies to provide compatibility with E-85 or straight wet ethanol as fuel
Integrated IRE Systems: (See Appendix pages 16, 17 for diagrams of the integrated systems concept.)
Ethanol is produced by the age-old steps of mashing and fermenting the feedstock, and distilling the ethanol. The cell structure of all vegetation includes abundant sugar locked within the cell wall as cellulose and hemicellulose. Traditional alcohol production utilizes starch and soluble sugars to obtain simple sugars transformed into alcohol. IRE transforms biomass feedstock such as woody biomass, grains, vegetative waste, paper, lawn clippings, and invasive plants into simple sugars that are then fermented and distilled to produce fuel ethanol.
IRE offers variations of an integrated fuel system that produces fuel ethanol, E-85, biodiesel, aviation fuel, and several privately labeled fuel products. Those biofuels can be used in the following ways:
• Provide biofuels for blending. Blending of biofuels is available in a multitude of applications.
1. ‘200 Proof’ fuel ethanol can be blended with petroleum in any percentage capacity.
2. Ethanol can be diluted with water to produce low-proof fuels for a non-polluting advanced technology with the power to operate converted diesel tractors, electrical turbines, and adapted engines such as irrigation pumps and more.
3. Special blends can be certified as aviation fuels (8% of the fuels market), maritime converted engine power, and more.
• Power private-label efficient micro turbine generators for low cost non-polluting electricity backup.
