Hey everyone! I havnt logged on here in awhile because my new job requires me to be on the road, but I cant even count how many wind turbine propellers I have seen while rolling down the road! They are amazing! I am a student at YSU and I am looking for ways to promote Pickens Plan. Let me know of ways I can help. I would really like to become more involved in the cause!

I recently wrote a report on why the United States should pursue wind energy and I have also decided to give a speech on this topic. Any information, sources, or tips that can be provided will be appreciated.
Thank you for your help!

I want to share the article with Americans concerned about our energy situation.
I hope you enjoy the article and find it encouraging.
All the best,

Scot Loveland will explain how wind turbines work and what is involved in a typical installation. In addition, Loveland will provide examples of energy savings that can be expected and help attendees determine if small scale wind is appropriate for their situations.
Loveland is in charge of Renewable Energy Projects for Tri-County Tower Service Inc. of North Jackson, Ohio. He is a high school teacher, and developed classroom curriculum based around renewable energy and green building projects.
The company installed their first wind turbine in 2003 and now considers renewable energy projects to be a full-time division of the organization. They offer complete turnkey construction of wind projects and are authorized dealer/installers for several small wind turbine manufacturers. More information about Tri-County’s products and services is available at http://www.tricountytower.com .
A question/answer session will follow the presentation. Also, we will discuss topics for future Trumbull meetings.
For more information about the Clean Energy Network and the Trumbull County meeting, contact Dave Ambrose at 330-647-3666 or ambrose@infohio.org .

Welcome to the OH-17 District Group!
You mentioned a college project. If you would let me know the focus of your project, I may be able to open doors to some resources for your work.
I have contacts at YSU, KSU, and community organizations such as Green Energy Ohio, the Regional Envirornmental Alliance for Community Health, and the Eastgate Council of Governments' Environmental Policy Advisory Committee (meeting April 30th at 1:00 PM), and Citizens Advisory Board (of which I am Chairman, meeting the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM.) Additionally, I have contacts with the Ohio Department of Development and access to the wind study maps that they have done for Ohio.
Visit the OH-17 Group webpage regularly for updates on events happening here in the Mahoning Valley.

I want to invite you to check out the Artists Round-Up group.
Because I knew of no other way to do this on this site I decided to create the project in the form of a group. Although, at least in it's beginning stages, the group is really more of a roster for artists to sign in and make themselves know to each other and to all those who are involved in the Pickens Plan than it is an actual group. It is possible though, and not unexpected, that it perhaps will sooner or later evolve into being a genuine group and doing and having as a genuine group.
For now though, I both invite and encourage you to at least go and check the group out. Once you see the set up you'll know whether it's for you or not. And if the purpose of the Artists Round-Up group does not indicate to you maybe there are others you know who might be interested. In such a cirucumstance I would, of course, appreciate your telling them about the group.

Go Bucks....
Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.
EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES -
This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! We are blessed that the creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
You CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and perinent ifno.
Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS
