- I have used Solar photo-voltaic panels and inverters and I currently drive a Toyota Prius 2002 hybrid. I also have experience as an INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC installing, replacing and programming inverters in an industrial environment.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Pickens makes good logical arguments. The only draw back is a new Honda Civic GX costs $26,000 + TTL when the average consumer will buy a new vehicle DICTATED BY PRICE for $11,000 + TTL. I do not know if statistics can prove this but the price barrier is another HURDLE TO CONSIDER.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I do not know right now.
I inquired here in the San Antonio area about the Honda Civic GX and nobody has any. They said there was only one dealer (Howdy Honda in Austin, Texas) that has mechanics trained to repair the GX and allowed to sell the GXs. But they have zero in stock. I can not find used GX's (within a 250 mile radius) either here in Texas. My only option I am told is to Internet order a GX and pay FULL RETAIL PRICE and put $1000 down and wait for a delivey date of about 5 months from placing an order. The Howdy Honda dealer in Austin has a monopoly (no competion in Texas) of a car they do not think will sell and therefore refuse to stock. It seems there is a fleet owner in Austin that bulk purchases and refuels their own GXs. The Howdy Honda dealer is in a recession like most auto dealers and probably going broke! The only, way in my opinion, to wake up the auto dealers is for government to outlaw all gasoline powered vehicles or tighten the exhaust emissions and only allow CNG vehicles to be sold. So how can I help?

I want to personally thank you for joining the SEE effort here on the PP. If you have any energy right now that you might want to put in the direction of SEE (ie. getting friends to join, etc.), it would be greatly appreciated.
