- I am the publisher of a daily online newspaper serving Cypress & Cy-Fair, Texas (Houston suburb) - our specific area of coverage is the fastest growing in the US with a population today of about 760,000 people - projected to be 1.2 million in 2012. I want to help get the word out about the Pickens plan. I would love the opportunity to feature Mr. Pickens and the plan in our paper - DAILY - with a special section feature dedicated to this program and its policies, inclusive of LINKS to this site. This is the single most important issue facing our nation - and so far, Mr. Pickens is the only one doing something (rather than just talking) about it.

Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me CypressTimes, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Need your help.
I know that we are friends, and you get email updates from me, however, I think this is so important, I am reaching out one at a time.
I AM CREATING A "100CLUB"... members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges. So many thousands of people signed onto this site and said they would do anything or everything to help. Here is your chance!
We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. It is the easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far.
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE to really go the distance on this? . I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS OUR REVOLUTION. And we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.

Just 10 a day for 10 days! For our energy future, isn't it worth it?
WOW, We finally have petitions! "THE PLEDGE" is on the blue header between THE PLAN and DAILY PICKENS.
THIS IS THE BEST TOOL WE COULD ASK FOR! It is so much easier to get someone to sign a petition than to go online and join the plan as a member.
I have been test driving it for a few days and got 200 signatures rather easily. Most folks had seen the ads or seen Boone on the news. Most were eager to sign it and strongly support it. A few wanted to get more info- I handed them a business card with the website. Very few said no (2 or 3).
PLEASE download a dozen PLEDGES, get them signed and fax them back ASAP (more if you are ambitous or have a large circle of influence). Please ask all your "friends" to do the same.
THIS IS HOW WE BUILD AN ARMY. If we all roll up our sleeves and do the collective work that we need to do, right now, we can give Boone the voice he needs to make sure Congress hears the American people and not the lobbyists and special interests.
Thank you for all your efforts. We have a very strong team. Can we do it or are we just full of hot wind? Many ants can take the Hill!

We are transferring $700 billion each year, 7 trillion in the next 10 years, to unstable and antagonistic regimes. Americans are angry and ready as never before, to take dramatic steps to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. From your own experience you know it is very much like simply signing a petition. The larger our membership the more likely we will be successful in getting Congress to provide effective incentives for alternative and renewable energies and in insuring that our future president will treat energy independence as a matter of the greatest urgency, applying the same kind of leadership as JFK exercised when he led us with his stirring challenge to put a man on the moon in 10 years. Please take the time today to bring 5 new members to the site.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to think that we could be looking back and apologizing to our children that we chose not to get this done when we had the chance.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Write to your Congressman/woman. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan. Print downloadable flyers and put them in your car and/or business window.
