- As the development officer officer for the University of Texas at San Antonio, I work directly with Dr. Les Shephard, energy guru from the Sandia National Labs in building public and private support for the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute (Texas - SERI) whose creation was jumpstarted by an investment of $50 million from CPS Energy, Inc.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I think it is exciting that the Pickens plan is one of few plans that looks at affecting the breadth and depth of alternative energy advancement across the U.S. It does not focus on one sole fix for the entire country.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Continue to be educated and informed on higher education's role in this push as well as my own individual rol.
