Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have purchased solar converters for charging batteries every time I find another more advanced unit.
I have an Associates Degree in CAD design and have designed and drafted several alternative energy systems from roof top water heaters to in-floor heating systems to passive cooling systems to geodesic homes.

What excites you about this campaign?

I used to own a car that used natural gas and it was the most efficient vehicle I have ever owned and the conversion was not that difficult to do. I believe that Mr. Pickens has the right plan for the gap that will be left if we drop foreign oil imports. By the way, if we stop the flow of gasoline to Iran its not going to make a bit of difference because their using natural gas to operate their vehicles and they have plenty of it on hand. I intent to vote for McCain but he missed the boat when he said he would propose this sanction on Iran.

What do you want to do to help?

I am, as I stated, a CAD designer. I am trained in everything from circuits to Buildings to city layout. If my talents can be used to further this project, then I offer them willingly.
We need to get busy NOW on this conversion and make it cheap for consumers to convert their vehicles to natural gas.
We also need to regulate the dispensing of the product so that there won't be greedy distributors putting us right back in the mess that we are in with gasoline.

Since this later is the most likely scenario, I would suggest become very familiar with the candidates running in your district for national office and only vote for those running on renewable energy platforms. Then hold them to it. get involved in your community to make that happen and things can get changed.

I remember the 60's and it seemed to me that every time the NAACP was serious about getting something done , marched on Washington. of course now day's we have computers to do the marching for us. We just need to get serious about this and march on our congressmen and women with email,snail mail and what ever access is available.
Gov. Sarah Palen has already taken the first step in putting to use the stop gap measure by building the natural gas pipeline in Alaska. I believe that needs to be brought to the front and pointed out to Congress as well as "we ain't gonna take it any more" to the business as usual in Washington. We are the people that our Government works for ,ewe are their Bosses not the other way around. So lets get to it!
