- I grew up in West Texas where oil has always been prominent. In 1971, I left home to joint the U.S. Navy and became a Journalist. For 38-months, I served aboard the nuclear-powered carrier USS Enterprise CVAN-65. I learned of the advantages and disadvantages of such power. Much later in my life, while working with the Texas Department of Transportation, I had the opportunity to operate motor vehicles using CNG, propane and electricity. I think there is much potential for the development and advancement of current/new technology. In the next few years, I hope to see great gains in the use of wind, solar and natural gas. Our future depends on it.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The chance to keep the U.S. from being dependent on foreign energy. It would be great to assist in bankrupting OPEC.

Welcome to the Wanted Scientists Group!
We started this group to create a Think tank "out of the box". Since the first warning in the 70's our political leaders did very little, for whatever reasons, to get us out of the dependency on foreign oil especially from hostile to the US countries such as Chavez's place.
Thanks to T Boone Pickens, a true American Hero, in America and around the world, a public awareness is growing of the enormity of the geo-political danger and the urgency to implement CHANGE.
The solutions: solar, wind, natural gas and others are available
and it's time to put them in motion now, better late than never.
People like you can help. We are firm believers in Collective Intelligence
( 1+1=3) and so far this PP site and our little group has proven over and over this formula.
We also believe in People Power to Provoke CHANGE.
The dedication of PP featured members are the weapons of the people.
Please help Kim, Leslie, Tom or Jack and the others with the petition effort.

Thanks for joining…now that you’ve taken the plunge here’s what you can do right now to help bump up the pledge numbers before Inauguration day. Download and print this NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED petition form:

When speaking to friends, family and colleagues, either in person or on the phone, ask them if they agree with the objective of American Independence from foreign oil. Just slip it into the conversation between the corporate babble, recipe exchange or play date logistics.
When they say YES (no one says NO), tell them you’re going to include their name on a Pickens Plan Petition with their email, zip code and phone. NO ONE will call or bug them (except perhaps you) to join the organization or do anything further if they elect not to.
Fill out and FAX the petitions to the number on the form and you’re done. You will get credit for the sign ups toward the 100 club. It’s easy and fast and there’s NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED.
There are only a few days left until Inauguration day. Do it now!

I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I do read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.
For those of you that have already jumped in and have made contact with your local leader- thanks.

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
After you have read the sites I mentioned, if you need anything else to help you, while you help the push, please stop by. I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
