No
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My dad has owned a business called Tulsa Gas Technologies since the late 1980's out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa Gass Tech, or TGT, manufactures Compressed Natural Gas Dispensers for Natural Gas Vehicles. TGT is the largest CNG dispenser manufacteur in North America. I have drove a dedicated CNG Honda Civic for over 2 years, and most of my family members drive Bi-Fuel vehicles, running primarily on Natural Gas. It is amazing to see Natural Gas Vehicles becoming more popular than ever.
What excites you about this campaign?
I am excited to see a boost in Natural Gas Vehicles. They are cleaner and cheaper...nothing beats that.
What do you want to do to help?
As a student of Oklahoma State University, I'd like to see the OSU Transit converted to Compressed Natural Gas. I promote Natural Gas each time I sit inside my own CNG Honda.

Merry Christmas Dana,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Dana, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Hi Dana,

We have new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. They are sleek and attractive, well designed. These are actually a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, dishwasher, etc. It's a nice clean way for you to begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and Dana, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

Glad to meet you. Especially interested in your Dad's business. I have been looking for where I can purchase a natural gas conversion kit (I have a tank, but need the hardware, and learn how to install). I am thinking it will soon be a booming business to have a location in cities to install conversion kits. Perhaps some of the current gasoline stations will see the advantage of offering both gasoline and natural gas, and the stations that have service stalls could send their mechanics to training and learn to install natural gas conversion kits. While at the same time implemented storage and dispensers for metering out natural gas. How much are you paying for natural gas? How many MPG do you get in your car? Do you know if you lose any power when using natural gas? I don't believe you will, but would like to know more.

Thanks,

OSU grad living in Springfield MO

Dana, I know your Dad and he is a great guy. I wish him the best of luck. It looks like his years of effort to get the word out is finally paying off. I live in Broken Arrow and drive a Honda Civic GX as well. I love it, but what we need to get more people on board is better refueling infrastructure in Oklahoma. ONG's equipment is very old and is falling behind keeping up with the increased demand as more and more people get CNG cars. I've noticed outages at ONG pumps becoming more and more common each month. I don't think ONG is motivated to be a part of the solution, so I hope someone else is willing to invest in the refueling infrastructure we need. Thanks for joining! It was nice finding a familiar name on here.
