Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have always had a keen interest in alternative energy sources, and have researched various concepts of alternative fuels or energy resources. By extension, high energy prices (particularly oil) are infringing on our freedom and the American Dream. Renewables such as wind generated energy is one very clear long lasting, relatively non-polluting source that can have the ability to decrease our energy dependence on sources outside of local and regional control.

What excites you about this campaign?

I have always been a fan of T. Boone Pickens, since Mesa. I had considered approaching Mr. Pickens with the idea of manufacturing a vehicle engine in cooperation with one of the major automotive manufacturers 10 to 15 years ago with the idea of bringing natural gas into use as a mainstream vehicle fuel source. There are several key issues that I feel would allow this to occur. First, having an engine designed specifically to use natural gas as a fuel source. The ICE hasn't had much improvement, in my opinion, as what it could possibly have had considering todays immense resources. Secondly, sometimes it takes a crisis to motivate a change. I believe we have that crisis. I believe that as a citizen of this great nation has the capability to come together collectively to conquer this burdensome issue; our politicians are focusing on getting elected, and I don't suggest holding your breath waiting for a solution from our elected leaders. Finally, I believe this crisis is an opportunity to move to the next level, and is a motivating factor to move from our current level of complacent comfort. It is great to see someone with strong visibility and in a postion of leadership step to the front to propose a movement or plan to move to the next level.

We are in the process of establishing a nonprofit innovation laboratory in Houston Texas dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue technology careers and to the development of the next-generation of strategic technologies to meet our current global challenges. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.
