On June 7, 2009, Gov. Corzine attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Mass Transit Tunnel. This project will cost 8.7 billion dollars and will allow an additional 25 train trips per hour to New York City. He also recently attended a project to build a rail line from Camden to Glassboro.
The Mass Transit Tunnel will not be operational for 8 years. It is dubious that this project will actually take any cars off the road. More likely it will gain its riders from PATH service or unsubsidiz…
