We're off to a good start in both the Senate and House of Representatives with the introduction of the NAT GAS Act of 2009 (H.R. 1835 and S. 1408)...but we have more work to do. During the Congressional break ask your Member of Congress and your two U.S. Senators to become co-sponsors of the NAT GAS Act and help get us off foreign oil.

Hello David,

Yes, the postage stamp does add considerable value to the message. The goal is to force a vote in Congress in the first 100 days. The best way for us to achieve this is to post some serious participation numbers via the Congressional District membership groups. If you have not read Mr. T. Boone Pickens new year resolution, I highly recommend it. It motivated me to get the message out. We are making a difference by letting people know about the many choices before us now.

Dave,

The primary objective is to get people involved now. The timing on letters is important to get started today. The PickensPlan website offers easy to use tools to send letters to all your elected officials including a letter to President Elect Obama. The goal is to stir people into action sooner rather than later.

With politicians it is strictly a numbers game;more letters, more members, the more likely we will see action. The goal is to force a vote in Congress for an energy independence plan in the first 100 days of the new administration.

The local goal is to sign up 500 Pickens Plan supporters in Michael Turner's Congressional District before 01/20/09. I have sent out hundreds of invitations using the Pickens Plan tools.

Thank you for participating and I look forward to meeting with you soon.

Welcome to the chance to make a difference in our lives!
Here's how you can help.

PLEASE email the Pickens Plan video to everyone you know. www.pickensplan.com. Ask them to JOIN. Ask them to pass it along. Time is of the essence. If every member had 10 friends join today, we could put the number of members over 1 million very quickly!

If we can not get critical numbers how can we take advantage of this golden opportunity? High gas prices have "woken up" America to our plight and a paradigm shift like not other is in the wind. We need to do this now.

So many new members write "I want to help, what can I do?" This is a start. We may not get to the next step if we can not get this one done. Our leaders can not ignore millions of members of the Pickens Plan. We are not there yet. .

If you have a connection to the press- get them to cover this.
If you know someone who blogs- get them to cover this.
If you can write a letter to your Representative or Senator- get them to see this.
We added close to 3,000 members yesterday.... it should be 10 times that!

If you want more information, watch the Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting video, on the home page. Lots of good information.
.
Have a nice day. Please let me know how it goes. Feel free to friend me so I can keep you updated.
Kim
