- I come from a oil family. I know Mr. Pickens personally. In fact, I work for him as CEO of one of his companies. He is a man of honor, loyalty and deep integrity. What I know about energy I learned from him and his incredible team. We all need to rally behind him and give him all we can to get the job done in Washington!

Spread the good word and be heard!
Tell everyone you know to write a note to their congressman and senator and demand answers to the crisis. Mr. Pickens has put his life, and his fortune on the line for this country, it's the least we can all do to help him turn our country around in our global thirst for energy!

Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me David, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE AMERICA'S ENERGY POLICY IS TO BUILD THIS HISTORICAL, GRASS ROOTS EFFORT TO UN-IGNORABLE HEIGHTS. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in today? Many hands make light work.

Alternative energies and energy efficiency really interest me. I just built a log cabin that is heated/cooled using 100% geo thermal sources so you KNOW I'm serious. Cost some bucks for sure.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES -
the creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. PLEASE GO TO "THE PLEDGE" (at the very top of this page on the blue header). On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue, and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE, get them signed and faxed back to Boone. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let Kim Anderson know when you are done and she will add you to the list.
YOU CAN HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
