I would like to ask everyone in this group to join the "Walk On Washington" group as it is a great plan that can help make them know that we are serious about this and that the Pickens Army will be heard. Our numbers will grow and we can do this. ...
I think this is one of the best ideas going. After all who thought it was a good idea to have it the way it is in the first place?

- I have used biodiesel for a car I used to own.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The fact we can get out of paying Country's that are not friends to this Country for there Oil. That in turn puts Guns in the hands of our enemies! I also am excited about the Natural Gas for Heavy Trucks as I'm a retired truck driver and know a lot of owner operators that have had to quit driving because of the costs to keep running.
- What do you want to do to help?
- As I'm disabled I will do anything I can to help.I would like to be part of the Walk On Washington so we could make the House and Senate know we are serious about them making this Plan part of our country's way out of this economic crisis. There are a lot of things I have read on this site that would do more to help than what the government is trying right now in my opinion.

When speaking to friends, family and colleagues, either in person or on the phone, ask them if they agree with the objective of American Independence from foreign oil. Just slip it into the conversation between the corporate babble, recipe exchange or play date logistics.
When they say YES (most will), tell them you’re going to include their name on a Pickens Plan Petition for our ENERGY INDEPENDENCE. NO ONE will call or bug them (except perhaps you) to join the organization or do anything further if they elect not to.
Fill out the form with their name, email, zip code and phone and FAX to the number on the form and you’re done. You will get credit for the sign ups toward the 100 club. It’s easy and fast and there’s NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED.
There are only a few days left until Inauguration day. Please do it now!

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
