Thanks for the invite and welcome on-board. This is a collective movement toward our energy independence with key note on green. Mr. Pickens plan is still (as amazing as that may seem) the only energy plan on the table. We have to keep the pressure on - or private interest supported lobbyists will have their way with a population of new nuclear power plants, proven to have a non-economic life cycle.
There are many interesting Groups on the site, so take your time and visit some where you will find specific subjects of interests.

We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement. .

I am proud to put my efforts towards this cause.
Well as they say (the large lady voiced the end). Neither candidate openly gave his support outright for our plan. Both new about it and to a degree felt the intense support behind it. It goes back to another old saying (be careful what you wish for, or on the political platform be careful how far you put your foot in the door.)
Keep in mind As Sara Lee tells us (you cannot please all the people all the time). As we know in politics, it’s merely a game of giving the mass majority a small taste in hopes they will buy the whole meal.

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to guide your path. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and when you are comfortable, letting others know about the website. The people here are interested in making the plan a success and those you invite should be able to see for themselves that this is the right place to be.
Here are further steps you might consider.
- Visit the My Energy page and get involved.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202)225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
