Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I always had a desire to be a part of creating electrictiy on a personal level and pursued an electrical career. I helped construct 3 nuclear powerplants and later installed high efficiency heating and air conditioning systems.

I have written a book called 'The Rewards of Making Energy-Efficient Choices' . It focuses on the practical applications of energy efficiency and have built a web site to support this effort. The book is available through my web site and Amazon.
What excites you about this campaign?
Due to the narrow interests of the government, car manufacturers and energy providers, we have arrived at this point in history, but we let it happen. We thought 'others' would take care of it, but this country has gone corporate and has no real desire to do what is best, but only what temporarily pads the wallet. I think the Pickens Plan is a really good first step in us waking up and saying "We should change this. We could fix this and it only ever was us who could do this"
What do you want to do to help?
After months of research on renewable energy, i have discovered that the costs for most people to add solar or wind power is very unreasonable with respect to very long terms for payback, but this same money put into large scale windfarms will provide much higher returns, much more quickly.

I will help by promoting the push for wind power overall and will like to see whats involved with assembling individuals together to invest in these windfarms. It's the smarter way to spend money on renewable energy.

Helping the Average Guy Make a Green Impact

In early 2008, I started performing major research on the feasibility of residential scale wind turbine power and solar energy in Pennsylvania.

The results were rather disappointing since the sun index is rather low here, and although there were some good areas for wind, the overall cost to install such a system to meet all or most of a homes energy needs exceeded $120,000 and would take 15 to 20 years to get paid back. Granted, you would get paid back, but this did not leave me with an easy pr… Continue

Hi David, are you still active in group PA-11? I'm Larry Ihnots, a DL for our group. I support you on the larger scale windfarms. You're from drums, so you can see the potential there, the strippings around Hazelton and on the way to Eckley, and the great elevation as well. If you're still active, I'd like to talk more.... Sincerely, Larry Ihnots

Hi David, you seem like an interesting guy, tell me more about your work on nuclear power plants. I live in FL where we need efficient air conditioning systems! I too am a believer in wind power as well as nuclear. Also, I am a strong supporter of public transportation and would like to see more trains, high speed like the metroliners and similar to what they have in Europe. I believe its only a matter of time b4 another terrorist takes a plane to the ground. Central FL is dependent on tourists and we need better transport to get people here and around here. I work teaching high school to special needs students. I have a dream of creating an internet survey research firm which would serve non profits, helping them improve their client and employee and donor satisfaction and making this world a better place to live. I lived in NJ not far from you for about 3 years...
