Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
My company,UEK Delaware, is licensed to build all UEK(underwater turbines). I have been actively pursuing projects in the Delaware region since 2003. We just got our first grant monies for a project using the outflow from the cooling towers of NRG's Indian River Power Plant. We have applied to FERC for a preliminary permit to install a tidal unit in the Indian River Inlet. We can install a 10Mw park for about $1,400 per Kw.
What excites you about this campaign?
If our country were to financially support all alternative energy options ( Wind, Solar, Geothermal, Hydro, and Wave ) the way Irland and the UK has; we could have tidal units generating electricity and connected to the grid like Open Hydro.

To have such a high profile individual like T. Boone Pickens get behind wind and other alternative energy options to the extent he has can't help but excite someone who is devoted to alternative energy.
What do you want to do to help?
I would like to get all alternative companies to work together to achive the common goal of generating as much energy from emission free renewable sources as possible. Underwater turbines can generate electricity or liquid hydrogen. Every contribution can help achive the final goal.

Underwater turbines

The cost of using the Indian River Inlet to generate electricity is only about $1.100 to $!,400 per Kw/h/. this is much cheaper than off shore wind. Delaware needs to embrace this technology.

At this cost the company can sell the energy they produce on the open market. Old Dominion Electric provides Delaware Electric Coop. and is willing to buy all the electric generated by the Indian River Inlet project. At the current wholesale rate of about $ .05 per Kw, UEK Delaware would be able to show th… Continue
