Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I used to drive a delivery truck for a propane distributor that ran on either gas or propane back in 1993. Propane or CNG will work but their is some engine clatter especially when going up a grade. And mileage isn't as good.

What excites you about this campaign?

I live in Texas. One thing we have plenty of is sunlight. Solar is a great idea especially for lighting, and low voltage appliances.

What do you want to do to help?

I want to tell you about an inventor named John Patrick Ettridge. He invented the Gemini electric motor it produces twice the power at the same energy usage. Ettridge has run into major hurdles in trying to develop the technology. Few investors have expressed interest in his motor. Ironically electrical engineers and U.S. electrical manufacturers have been the biggest obstacles to development. He's currently working with a large Indian manufacturer on testing and development because no one in the U.S. will help. This is a good example of reality in developing new technologies. Everyone wants to talk about it nobody and put out a commercial like GE. But no major U.S. company is really sinking billions in trying to bring new technologies to the market.

Be A Solar Santa

It's getting close to Christmas, this is a good time to buy some green gifts. Solar operated toys fascinate kids and teach a little science too. Solar battery chargers, and solar powered flashlights/lanterns make good practical gifts. My favorite is my windup BayGen shortwave radio my daughter bought me a couple of years ago. vote and raise hell

Voted this afternoon here in Tucker, Texas. No lines took about 10 minutes. Ran into my daughter at the polling place. I felt proud to sit down beside her and vote knowing I've helped raise a responsible citizen. I vote in every election I call it my ticket to raise hell. Vote, call or write your congresman and raise hell for the Pickens plan. Jeb Hensarling voted no on the bail out bill because enough people like me called and raised hell. Renewable Energy Incentives

Just found an online database that makes it easy to search for renewable energy incentives for your local area. The web address is www.dsireusa.org. Unfortunately not too many areas in Texas have gotten on the bandwagon. Austin, Bryan, San Antonio, offer good incentives. Maybe the rest of the state will catch up soon.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
