I noticed that you are in Austin and thought your might be interested in knowing a little more about Natural Gas Vehicle options here in Central Texas.
The Honda GX isn't the only EPA approved CNG vehicle. I drive a new EPA Certified Ford Focus with leather interior and audiophile sound system with Sync and with the tax credits and rebates, it cost much less than the Civic GX. Other vehicles are also available and more are coming soon. Click here for additional details.
There is still only one public fueling station in Austin, but I am confident we'll see more built soon. I'm even looking at putting one in myself. In the meantime, you can always fill up at home the way Boone does with a Phill from Fox Service Company.

Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
Please congratulate Dianna Brown, she has joined the 100CLUB today- for those that fax/send in more that 100 signed pledges! In addition to her pledge push success, she drives the Welcome Wagon often, providing a steady and passionate hand in sharing our goals to new members.

I AM CREATING A "100CLUB"... members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges. So many thousands of people signed onto this site and said they would do anything or everything to help. Here is your chance!
We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. It is the easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far.
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE to really go the distance on this? . I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS OUR REVOLUTION. And we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.

Just 10 a day for 10 days! For our energy future, isn't it worth it?
WOW, We finally have petitions! "THE PLEDGE" is on the blue header between THE PLAN and DAILY PICKENS.
THIS IS THE BEST TOOL WE COULD ASK FOR! It is so much easier to get someone to sign a petition than to go online and join the plan as a member.
I have been test driving it for a few days and got 200 signatures rather easily. Most folks had seen the ads or seen Boone on the news. Most were eager to sign it and strongly support it. A few wanted to get more info- I handed them a business card with the website. Very few said no (2 or 3).
PLEASE download a dozen PLEDGES, get them signed and fax them back ASAP (more if you are ambitous or have a large circle of influence). Please ask all your "friends" to do the same.
THIS IS HOW WE BUILD AN ARMY. If we all roll up our sleeves and do the collective work that we need to do, right now, we can give Boone the voice he needs to make sure Congress hears the American people and not the lobbyists and special interests.
Thank you for all your efforts. We have a very strong team. Can we do it or are we just full of hot wind? Many ants can take the Hill!

1) Conservative or not, I cannot imagine that anybody can vote for a 72 year old warrior who is backed up by an inexperienced lady who believes the Iraq war is 'God's plan' and who takes credit for initiatives that are not her's. I guess anybody would get an excellent approval rating when handing out oil money to everyone (instead of saving it to produce renewable energy - a difficult thing in Alaska, by the way).
2) How can you remain conservative looking at the mess we are in? We need change and the only agent for change I can see is B Obama. McCain says he will shake up Washington with his lipstick-pitbull, but what we need is not an attack, but reconciling interests to reach a balanced budget. We dont need war, we need to re-build infrastructures, new means of transport and commuting, new energy sources.
3) Now you will say this is none of my business, but that is not true. We are very anxious to see what is happening in the US and I realize that I am more involved in this than many Americans. Kind of praying for change, new ideas, a bridge to the future. We all need that. And so far I have been disappointed by the conservative parties, also in our country and Europe in general.
4) As we have only little time left to implement changes - 10 years or so - this election will be historic and it should not be about partisanship, but about the chance to get change fast. And Obama is right when he says we should not take a 10% chance for change.

The best you can do re renewable energies is vote for B Obama. He has adopted Al Gore's plan to go to 100% renewable within 10 years. With this the Pickensplan has reached one of its main goals which is to put energy on the top of the agenda of the election.

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. We need your help.
There is a perfect storm of events happening right now that create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future American solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.
Please share this plan with your circle of friends, family and associates. Urge them to JOIN. As you know, it is simply like signing a petition. With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.
Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
