Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Common knowledge and an intense interest to learn more.
What excites you about this campaign?
It makes sense. Its easy to understand.. Its not from the mouth of a politician but from a businessman who knows what he is talking about so I trust the message.

Our economy is in the toilet and someone needs to do something. After 9-11 we pulled together as a country. People were friendly to each other, even in traffic. Flags were everywhere. Pattriotism still exists. This effort can pull our country together.

Common people have great ideas and Pickens seems to know that and is looking for help from anyone. I think that is cool.

China is taking all the manufacturing jobs. They are building interstate highways systems. Their culture is changing toward capitalism. The control their government has on their people is changing. Their demand for automobiles is rapidly increasing and that is going to keep the demand up for oil and the prices for oil up. And we are reliant on China. If they fall, we fall because everything we buy is from China. Its not good. Our technology jobs have gone to India. If we as a country want to remain as a superpower, we have got to get our demands for oil in check. We need to get jobs back in this country to Americans. We have got to stop fighting wars abroad that are costing us so much money because we are spending way too much as a country. I'm sure most of our interest in politics and wars in the Middle East are stemming from our interests in oil.

I don't want to see this country collapse and for us to have another depression. I think its heading that way. All the safe investments don't seem to be safe anymore...real estate, stocks, savings accounts, etc.

My little one is 3 1/2 years old. I want her and my grandchildren to have a good future and that means living in a country where it is economically sound, stable and safe.
What do you want to do to help?
My talents are administrative. I have over 15 years of experience as an administrative assistant / office manager. I have excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills. I can arrange travel, calendars, meetings, workshops, create documents, newsletters, spreadsheets, reports, assist with marketing materials, surveys, whatever needs to be done.

Hi Donna, Thank you for responding to my invitation. Alert all your friends at Pickens plan about the Music Video "Take This Oil and Shove It," and how they can be among the first to be linked to it.

Donna,
Welcome aboard. I agree with you on what happened after 9-11. The signs on I95 and 495 were flashing God Bless America. If we can get Congress to work for the people and not for the oil companies we can get out of this mess. The banks and builders put us in this mess with the housing market. The problem here in the DC area is who lives in a house for over 10 years. If you invest in solar it takes time to get the ROI. Getting the power companies in this area to but the excess power is very hard to do.

Donna,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT

Hello,

Please take a look at the executive summary on my page. We are in the process of establishing a nonprofit innovation laboratory in Houston Texas dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue technology careers and to the development of the next-generation of strategic technologies to meet our current global challenges. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Norman
