- I've been a student of Alt Energy. Since El Paso has an average of 302 days of sunshine and winds that are steady at 5 to 15 knots in the evening, it makes little sense not to tap into sustainable energy sources like PV and Passive Solar with wind generation. I'm not sure if geothermal is possible because of the heavy bedrock.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I want to run for office and use this as part of my platform.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Study and convince my fellow El Pasoans that this is not only do-able but the way to improve our city and also create a new industry of energy independent homes and businesses.

I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts. I read every profile page.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago.
