Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
No
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Renewable Energy: International Business Development, Equity & Project Finance, Government bureaucracy/efficiency.
What excites you about this campaign?
National grassroots initiative.
What do you want to do to help?
To assist in persuading the newly elected administration and congress to write a new base national energy policy/plan nominating renewables to become as a national security platform for the country.
Is important the administration recognizes the savings derived from various levels of the supply and distribution chain, example the savings of petroleum consumption and generated CO2 created from reducing logistics/transportation of petroleum fuels nationally and internationally. A core priority also concerning USA is for the modernization of electricity interconnection, distribution, transmission corridors.
Consequently to streamline/revise the existing national regulations/policies integrating them into a fast-track national master project scope including the Departments of Agriculture, Energy, Transportation, Defense, Commerce, and State. The creation of the Department of Renewable Energy (not as an Agency such as EPA) to become the sole Coordinator between each aforementioned Departments who will assume all responsibilities for Renewable Energy development thereby reducing time processes of the overlapping government entities/agencies and coordinate / implement the national master renewable energy plan. Moreover and specifically, the political isolation gained by the creation of this Department is a necessity for it's management to work efficiently for the long-term implementation success of this master plan. Obviously to reduce the petroleum industry sphere of influence and mentality.
Please note I am the last person who wants another Government Department and it's bureaucracy but is necessary in my modest opinion for non-conflicting political autonomy for future generations.

Great Causes bring out great people. As a 25-year veteran in Power Generation & Energy Development, let me thank you for getting involved and extend an offer to provide insight and assistance in your local effort. This is a very doable plan and it starts with people like you in making it a success. The key to the plans success will be communicating to the masses. We need to communicate reality not dreams for unfortunately the American public has a very short attention span and most are living day to day. The Pickens Plan as it stands right now is at the 50,000 ft level. We need to develop a more comprehensive detailed national execution plan for the next five years. The first section should incorporate conservation and placing public pressure on elected officials at all levels of government to engage and approve a national plan while in parallel we are designing, constructing and installing the new alternative energy infrastructure systems. Once we have the grass roots base involved at this level, we can then continue to communicate the next steps of the plan to them to help bring us to the Energy Independence we are looking to accomplish
Hello Ms.Roller,
Thank you for your kind words and invitation. Unfortunately I will not be in the USA during this period.
My Best to you and your esteemed Alliance.

Please visit www.FAREnergy.org - The Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy would like to make Florida a leader in solar energy. Since 1991, Germany, Spain, Denmark, and over 40 other nations, states, and provinces, have pioneered legislation that have proven to promote the fastest, cheapest, and widest growth of renewable energy. In many of these countries these policies are called "Feed-In Tariffs" (FITs). Producers of renewable energy are paid a premium rate or "tariff" for each kilowatt of energy they "feed into" the grid. Here in North America FITs are being called, "Renewable Energy Payments" (REPs). The name has changed but the fundamental principles of these policies stay the same: Everyone who produces renewable energy is guaranteed that they can connect to the power grid and sell their energy to their utility company. There is no limit to the amount of renewable energy that can be sold to utility companies.
Utility companies sign 15-20 year contracts with all their renewable energy producers. All contracts are transparent and open for inspection.
The contracts include long-term agreed upon prices that the utility companies will pay for the energy they buy. The prices are set high enough to be an incentive to new producers and for existing producers to expand their production capacities. Prices vary according to the source of the energy (i.e, sun, wind, water, bio-mass, etc.) and the size of the energy-producing installation.
The utility companies can recoup their increased costs of paying higher prices for renewable energy by spreading these costs among all their customers.
An Independent Review Board is established by the government that periodically sets the prices and terms for new contracts.
How do REPs work?
Renewable Energy Payments are the mechanisms or instruments at the heart of specific state, provincial or national renewable energy policies. REPs are incentives for homeowners, farmers, businesses, etc., to become producers of renewable energy, or to increase their production of renewable energy. As such, they increase our overall production and use of renewable energy, and decrease our consumption and burning of fossil fuels.
Thank you! Happy Holidays!

Hi WIlliam!
Welcome to Pickens Plan. I want to have Ed Matricardi get in touch with you. He is our DC area organizer. Nice guy,.
Glad you are here. We have some terrific folks onboard- We want to build this support to many milllions and change the paradigm of thought on energy in this country. Honored to have you here.
Welcome William and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help. Sounds like we could use your help.
EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.
Go to THE PLEDGE
Lend your voice to the call for American energy independence Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
