Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I did a Master's degree at Duke School of the Environment, and focused my career on the economics that provide great rewards for the things folks want but don't yet make financial sense. I have lived in Brazil and seen how Flex Cars that run on gasoline or ethanol allowed people to trust moving off oil (prior pure ethonal cars failed).
What excites you about this campaign?
The integrity of as an American producing what we use, and not fighting abroad to have what we like to use.
What do you want to do to help?
Work with others to create highly rewarding career and business opportunities to our military vets as we grow our domestic energy. They've put themselves on the line for our 'national interests'. And we need to have the integrity to assure they have great access to opportunity, which they are well skilled to fulfill.

Military Vets Question

Does any one know if the Pickens Plan seeks priority in hiring for our vets on the new wind, transmissions, and gas?

I'm just looking to get a baseline of what commitments there are for vets as of now.

Thanks.

Hello Dwight, I am curious. What's the difference (money wise) for you to pay 20% to 50% more at the pump for the rest of your life and making one payment of$99.95 rto retrofit your car to a car-efficient car?

Tha fact that conserving energy is strenghtening our National Security is maybe not what you want.

Kim,

My strength is as a macro organizer. Please evaluate.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, all Americans will pass through shopping centers and malls.

A model for stores (our own pop up sites, and/or their own counter sales) to make money off of the red hot Energy Independence theme this year, we have a financial engine for gathering hundreds of thousands -- perhaps millions -- of Energy Independence petitions.

Our Pickens initiative has tens of thousands of energized people who don't know just how to channel their energy. Many of them strongly, strongly interested to make a career of their Energy Independence interest.

They can benefit from the type of professional assistance seen in your leadership on these e-mails. Such leadership is the difference between disperse people with goals, and a co-ordinated 'army' delivering on very specific goals.

Whether or not you are interested in the above proposal, I commend and thank you for your efforts and outreach.

On the strength of your note, I commit to reach out to contacts to gather more names now.

Need your help.

I know that we are friends, and you get email updates from me, however, I think this is so important, I am reaching out one at a time.

I am looking for members of the 100CLUB... members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.

We have the mechanism to build our numbers, we need to use it. It is the easiest ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 240 so far.

It comes down to.... Do we have the fortitude? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. I would like your help.

I am also waiting for tools to help us define our efforts :
1. the list of who has signed the PLEDGE and who has NOT- Governors and Legislators.
2. counter/tickers on the site of how many emails have been sent to Congress.
3. counter/ticker of how many PLEDGES have been signed by citizens.

Glad you are here. Are you in?
Best,
Kim

Just 10 a day for 10 days! For our energy future, isn't it worth it?

This is a term that is used in electrical engineering:
"power conditioning equipment -- Electrical equipment, or power electronics, used to convert power from a electrical source into a form suitable for subsequent use. A collective term for inverter, converter, battery charge regulator, and blocking diode."

If you search online with Google, and just add a term, like solar, or solar car, to power conditioning, you will get a huge response.

Hello Dwight, for less than $100.00 you can retrofit your car to a fuel-efficient car. www.extra-mpg.com. Hurry up this price will not last.

Your driver skill and understanding of the law of motions will define the savings. Nobody save less than 20%, we guarantee it. However skilled "hypermilers" can reach 50%.

Moment-o-Meter is the ONLY device showing true momentum instantly. It's patented. Some cars have an "econometer" using a different technique (vaccum) and for an inferior result.

Good luck,

Tamas.

Dwight, this is not my area of focus, but I think you're accurate. The newest of the combined cycle gas generation plants are just over 50% efficient. I think most of them are in the neighborhood of 35% efficient.

I would guess that gasoline and CNG would be comparable in efficiency all other things being equal.

What's your opinion of the Pickens plan? Do you think it should include private vehicles and conversion?

I have saved your last transmission offline, and will remove it from PP, to protect your private address. See my response in your personal email. kjb

a) On a good day, we lose 40% of electric generated at Hover Dam including in the transmission wires when sent to L.A. Old wires slow electron flow! "Are there better ones now available?" Superconductors! But no one has used so much-over such a long distance. "I'm assuming so, since Boone seem to intend to ship wind electric from the prairies to the coasts"-You would not have the right answer!

b) If some of the electric energy now transmitted or shipped were converted to liquid Hydrogen and used to superconduct new underground wires like to LA, the electricity would all get there and we could use the hydrogen directly in cars or burned in decentralized power plants. Energy is best made where needed.
