Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have seen the towers in western Pa and MD
but, in Texas Rep just explained the wind does not always blow when you need it.
I wonder what the environmental people, what about birds, and how about the latest issue with turbine transmission cracks? takes a lot of real estate. people fight the power lines that connect the farms.
All for it but it will only be a supplement to the BASE energy load.
Snow Sports industry have been going green for 10 years. conservation, new investment, computer control.
What excites you about this campaign?
Natural GAS, but you have to drill for that. and seems the dems do not want to drill.
All well and good. People can buy power based on wind solar and bio, but look at the cost. People are cheap.
What do you want to do to help?
I have been writing Hose and senate reps for over a year.
AceEyeEd is my USPSA.org / IPSC handle.

I believe you on the ng seepage issue, our air isnt great but it has improved dramatically over the years, when you see pictures of the SanFernando Valley from the 1950's it looked hazy in every summer picture taken (the valleys basin and heat trap in pollution, while a little further south over the SantaMonica mountains in Los Angeles gets the ocean breeze moving the air around, much like Long Island in NY and that breeze and no mountains make a huge beneficial difference vs valley). When I moved here late 70's early 80's it was still bad but has gotten better and better, but not perfect, industry and 1.5 million people and cars we pay a price. However I will check whatever I can find, and any info you can share would be appreciated.
Kudo's on the Harry & Pelosi phone campaign, I understand Repubs tied in tax credits for wind and oil to ANWR and offshore drilling, no matter your politics I think we need to keep all these bills separate so we can track their votes better. They blame massive quantities of legislation, but with their assistants, computers and a word2000 from MS I'm sure they could track all similar bills and vote on them without having to group them in, but hey then how would we slip in all that pork? and you know pork is one of the food groups in America- lol...thats why we are all so rich and slim... Peace Ed, Kurt
Ed good job of keeping the Phone Harry and Pelosi message at the top of the list for things too do. I will keep at it also.
We can make a difference and change things.

Thanks for the comment on my blog entry http://push.pickensplan.com/forum/topic/show?id=2187034%3ATopic%3A193424
All I can say is to always keep your eye out for ways to shave every little bit off of your energy use... every little bit counts. Do all that you can, tell all who will listen.
one last thought. The plans are good, and lots of ideas.
How do we go about changing the attitudes of the common man.
I did a small unscientific survey.
I asked the local construction crews if we covert to CNG, can they deal with loosing cargo space. the answer was no way. 100%
The other issue is peoples' respect and behavior. When I was 18 I could not jam the tunes and wake neighbors up or my dad would pull my Tags.
In my apt complex, they jam at 3 am on a weeknight, and if you confront them, you risk your life. need to change attitudes.....I love the liberty mutual commercials.
I don't need much in life no big screen TV, just some snow and a bit of ammo.
I never had a problem with trucks / SUV if people really used them. but most on the commute to DC were single drivers.
i read a comment you posted about not being able to have a tower where you live...they also make turbines that attach to the roof like a satellite dish.
