Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I am Director of School Facilities. Our High School installed a 1.8 kw windmill atop a 40' hinged tower in June 2007 for program and renewable energy studies. We are the only operating windmill in the lower Hudson Valley, 30 miles north of NYC
What excites you about this campaign?
To be able to be a help in rolling out more wind projects in NY
What do you want to do to help?
Whatever I can- you tell me. We can arrange to have politicians, media, taxpayers, see our operating windmill at our school.

OPPOSITION’S ATTEMPT TO SNEAK A BILL THROUGH: NYS Senator Antoine Thompson has just introduced a bill to the NYS Encon Committee, which he chairs, that would ban any hydraulic fracturing activity in NYS for one year – which is certain to be followed up by subsequent moratoriums in future years.
WE NEED 125 CALLERS FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING (June 14):
Because it’s too late to email or write letters, your coalition committee will be calling and we need 125 additional callers after 9am on Monday to voice your opposition to this moratorium with us. The Encon committee meets Monday afternoon, so it is best if your call reaches them by then. WHEN YOU HAVE CALLED, EMAIL US AT chenangogas@gmail.com and let us know. We’ll keep the website updated with our tally for the day.

TALKING POINTS:
POSSIBLE CONVERSATION:
“Good Morning (afternoon); I am calling to express my full opposition to the bill being presented by Senator Thompson to the Encon Committee further delaying safe Natural Gas Drilling in NY."
Many additional talking points are posted on the website of the Joint Landowner’s Coalition (www.jlcny.org). Don’t worry about being eloquent – JUST CALL EVERYONE ON THAT LIST!! We can’t count on anyone else to call for us – you need to pick up the phone and do this for yourself, your family, your community and your state.
Appreciate you coming on The Green Revolution Show next Wednesday. We have some folks out west that will be joining the show, should be fun. Hope you get all the great folks in New York to tune in.
Would like to produce a Green Revolution Show featuring you and other eastern state leaders, and hopefully a few congresspeople. About a week ago we did a show with the Ohio People and Congressman Tim Ryan, thought it went very well. Wednesday we gave a salute to the 7 California Cosponsors, and it went well. Would like to stay with this format for awhile. Call me; 760-961-1312, or email; jwnobles1@verizon.net and let's talk. As always, time is of the essence.
Haven't been able to get a response from the pickens team on an idea. Maybe you have some pull some where. Assuming the new wind farm is on hold, why not setup a fund to add a windmill to an existing wind farm ? I would contribute to it. My original reason for joining was to increase the use of wind energy.
There are dozens of schools in California, Oklahoma, Texas and soon to be Florida using CNG school buses. They are better for several reasons. 1) Fuel is cheaper (budget benefit) 2) Emissions are cleaner (kids health benefit) 3) Domestic (economic benefit).
We have a repower option if your buses are using an International DT466 engine. If you can have your fleet manager contact me I will be happy to analyze your situation, we are negotiating with a company in New Jersey so it looks like we may be in your neck of the woods anyway so the more business the lower our cost of maintenance.

Have you considered CNG school buses?
We can provide you any info you need, and we can partner with you if it makes sense.
