- I've been living an alternative life style for more than twenty years. I live off grid now, using solar, wind . My house is a strawbale house and in the last five years I have burned just over one hundred dollars worth of coal per. year. I also pump water once every three months and use about one hundred sixty five gals. in that time. most things I do are to have as little impact as possible on mother earth. I do walk the talk. A brief job review, I started building at the age of fourteen now I have many houses under my belt. my first job after high school was building solar homes with my brother inlaw through the eighty,s. Six years U.S.N. hull tech. N.B.C. then home to build homes and fine furniture. and alt, homes. In the last two years I have started a new career Doc. film making. Two lab Productions Straw Hat Films. Also Luna Lobo photo Ent. which are on the w.w.w. net. So in closing please feel free to contact me. if there is any way I can help.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- I thank no we should all thank Mr. Pickens for stepping forward to say enough is enough! oil is not the long term answer. Wind and solar are, and I'm sure there are other sources of power out there. In Maine we have the Mars hill wind farm which I think is beautiful. But so many people in Maine are stuck in the oil they can't see the wind for the mills. Or the sun for panels. Mr. Pickens is bringing alternative power to the forfront of the nation. Instead of talk he says lets do. And thats what most of are leaders don't do, all they do is talk. Mr. Pickens turbines to ya !
- What do you want to do to help?
- Organize other of like minds, what I really think I can be of best use is in bringing Mainers showing Mainers what other Maine poeple are doing with alternative power. Films photo exhibits, lectures,ect. Also alternative building technics.
