Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I am the founder of TsunamiGreen. I've been in the alternative/conservation energy industry since 1983. I've presented on numerous occasions most recently as a guest at a general panel sitting aside a spokes person from Cape Wind. I've been pushing the alternative energy path since the Carter Administration. At TsunamiGreen we are making sustainability a badge of honor in America's Small Business community.
What excites you about this campaign?
Mr Pickens's leadership on this issue is exemplary in projecting that at all levels we must unite to make this happen. We must put aside our status, return to our core roots, and understand that working together we can create an energy model that will solve not only one of the greatest dilemmas to have ever faced our times but will result in placing the USA back on top - with innovative jobs (from creation to maintenance) that pay well, an environmentally healthy industry, endless sources of energy we will never have to fight for, cutting edge technology (something we have always been very good at) we can export to the world, and a thriving independent economy that will last for decades to come.

This is clearly a model that many of us would like to pass along to our children and is a model I personally have made a passion project of mine to promote for the last 3 years.

I am so very happy to see Mr. Pickens take this plunge.
What do you want to do to help?
If you want to do something more that will mean having a little extra fun, maybe growing your business, or just meeting some new people, then we should talk.

The bottom line - Consumerism got us into this mess, so why not use it to get us out? It's really not that hard! The problem is, those of us that want change act independently, while those that oppose it are tightly networked. But, that is all about to change.

TsunamiGreen connects small (and large) businesses. Specifically, those fired up enough to want to be a leader in sustainability. It's not costly, and the businesses remain focused on their core business, but armed with their new B2B network they are rewarded with new customers looking to deal with businesses that care, not only about the health and prosperity of their business but also about their family, their community, and their country.

We start them on the simplest of steps and then leave them with knowledge that will help them educate and save money for their existing consumers - knowledge that will help them attracted new "green" consumers.

Working with small businesses for the past 20 years I have encountered ingenious ideas all too often. In my opinion, small business entrepreneurs are the life blood of American innovation. So, early in 2007 I founded TsunamiGreen.com. A public open driven community designed to connect businesses, foster innovative ideas and educate consumers on the importance of their decisions to support these ideas as they spend $$'s consuming. At the TG roots, this is all starting at the SMB level, where we connect small businesses, educate them on the most current alternatives and teach them how to communicate their knowledge on sustainability to their consumers, furthering the education process to the very edge - the end consumer.

The aim of TsunamiGreen is to make this move both fun, innovative, fashionable, and rewarding. If a mission doesn't have these components it simply won't make it past the most passionate. Laying the ground work is never as easy as it looks but there are clearly enough supporters out their this go around (remembering the collapse of the alternative energy movement of the late 70's) to make this happen.

I'm most interested in communicating with anyone who believes they would like to lead a local small business networking group or, just in general, has that ability to think "outside the box" and not take "it can't be done" as an answer.

Good Morning Frank,

Do you recall my suggesting to contact a company by the name of Angie's List? I just saw another morning spot of Fox & Friends -- I genuinely think they could be interested in doing something with you since their current commercial is focused around a handy-man hired to do work on a home.

I have no idea how successful they are, yet they evidently are doing well enough to keep costly adds up and running. With the awareness growing regarding our need to 'Green' our homes, perhaps they would consider a new focus tied around being the best source for resources in making a home energy efficient, etc...... TsunamiGreen could create strong synergies when you tie in the other two ideas we discussed.

All the best,
RoseMarie LaCoursiere

Hello Frank,

I trust you don't mind my posting the book I was thinking of earlier for others to consider reading... it is:

http://www.amazon.com/Think-BIG-Kick-Business-Life/dp/0061547832

Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life (Hardcover)
by Donald J. Trump (Author), Bill Zanker (Author) -- gets a 4 out of 5 stars rating from Amazon readers, and as I said I gave it to a good friend who needed it more than I... you'll find some answers in the first 2 chapters..

Great speaking with you today,
RoseMarie
