Failing to Endorse McCain Has Doomed the Picken's Plan...The Obama Administration Will Not Support It
I believe it was a terrible mistake for Mr. Pickens not to endorse Sen. McCain & Gov. Palin, and fail to openly support the Republican ticket. Sitting on the fence was detrimental to the "PLAN" because the Obama administration and the Democratic legislature under Sen. Tom Ogle's Invention Resulted in 1000% Increase in MPG & His Death!

Happy New Year Frank,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Frank, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.
Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!
I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.
Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!
There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.
This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

There is way to help.Help the Plan.This site is to support the Pickens Plan.Unfortunately we all would like to use this public forum sometimes to express our ideas on others things that are important to us and are somewhat related to the Plan ultimate goal.
It's fine if they help the general purpose of the Plan. Everything that does not should be express on an other site. This is my personal opinion.

I am curious to know. Maybe this invention could be updated for the benefit of all.

In regards to your story about Mr. Olge you should present facts about the item in question, i.e. patents or actual item that he made if you can track them down. If you can not you need to be careful not to sensationalize. This leads to conspiracy theroies and mistruct in the general public. That is something that the PickensPlan does not need, to be tied to conspiracy theories that can detract from the legitimate purpose of the plan.
I will agree that I have put forth questions about what is beyond the Pickens Plan, as I am genuniely concerned about what is planned to go beyond the use of CNG fuel. How far they have thought into the future or is the plan only focused on the very near future at this point.
I say it is a good beginning, one of the few plans with major financial backing and that is a key issue. But with the major financial backing I have to wonder about motive and to what extent the plan ties into a major business of Mr. Pickens and that being the Natural Gas industry. If the PickensPlan has no intent to seek ways beyond the use of CNG then I would have to say it should not be so actively supported. On the other hand if the PickensPlan has intent or is actively supporting efforts to go beyond CNG then it should receive the support of every American even international support.
I will be working to get an answer for this question from the Pickens Team.

With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.
PICKENS U has been formed for college and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to helped coordinate the pledge drive please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.
PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
