Formaly built and raced 6000 HPcars on renewable fuel.
What excites you about this campaign?
The fact thet it understands the problem but not the solution.
What do you want to do to help?
Debate issues, so that there is no wasted efforts like electric cars. Cars are about 30% efficent now, by transfering their energy sorce to coal fired power plants we will loose 12% efficency and cause even more global warming not to mention the other issues. Power is always most efficent at it's initial sorce, as it transgresses we loose efficency.

THE MARKET--OIL--THE END

YES! The people were too smart to let the bailout succeed. Think about it, we're all on this site because of the impending energy crissis. BUT much of the problem is a matter of supply and demand. As the market prospers so dose growth, developement, traffic. Unbridled capatalism is a fire storm of consumption. Our boarders become porous to let in more consumers, China and India suck up everything. Oil becomes expensive then fought over. We need to re-think how our society works because we are ba… Continue

Hi Frank,

I know this'll sound strange... Are you Frank Jr? I'm wondering if your father was a friend of my dad's? Does Norwalk CT ring a bell?

I was raised in Los Angeles when they still had trollies. It was the best transportation system ever. You could go to the mountains, desert, seashore, downtown and almost every outskirt of town on the trolley. It was wonderful and I still miss it. I think we need to learn to live without a lot of things that are fun and cute and may convenient, but not necessary to everyday existence, like cell phones, nintendo, a lot of computer stuff (and I do love my computer and the internet, can't say the same for my cell) We had radio, TV became popular after WWII, and took several years to catch on. People drove old cars because there was no reason to replace it every year with a new more jazzy model, besides they didn't make any during the war. I drove the same old Volvo for over ten years and would still be driving it if some knucklehead speeding through a red light hadn't killed it. It's hard to kill a Volvo, but she tweaked it completely out of shape and off the frame. EGAD! I would be delighted if someone said they could convert my car to something other than gas that would be clean, quiet, and get decent mileage. I offer up my vehicle to anyone who wants to experiment with alternative power. I am a willing guinea pig, car, house, you name it!

100 years ago we lived without oil. The only way forward is to look back to a time before oil. What oil is left will become too expensive then fought over. Our lifestyles are mandated to change. I believe we need to improve mass transet, become more agricultural so we can barter food for goods with the world, because with world population growing and consuming everything food and water will be the commodities of the future.
