Thanks for the heads up on the diesel engines. Interested, that sounds to me like he is using "boosted" engine using natural gas to supplement the diesel.

Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I own a Dodge 350/Winnebago RV that runs on propane or gasoline. Apparently they were only popular for a couple of years during or right after the gasoline crisis of those years. We should have taken action then to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
Sierra Club member and supporter since 1985. Working now on Zero Energy Manufactured Homes.
What excites you about this campaign?
Getting off our dependency on foreign oil from. Improving our environment.
What do you want to do to help?
Spread the word, bring in new members, help explain the plan to new members, get members to take action to push the plan on government.

My Video

To those of you who are too young or can't remember my video is a movie trailer for the movie Network, made in 1976 and representative of the state of our country back then when we had a fuel shortage in the US caused by turmoil in the Middle East. We experienced long lines to get gasoline, rationing, high prices and a failing ecomomy for about 3-4 years. This should have been a warning to us to get off of foreign oil but the oil producers made sure they stayed in power by lowering oil prices, I think OPEC was even started during this time to bring stability to the oil industry.
We should not let it happen again! It's taken 30 years to get where we are now, same story only since then we have fought three wars(two still going on), lost too many American lives, spent too many billions of our money and experienced the wrath of radical Islamics on 9/11, all to keep the oil flowing from the Middle East. That's enough! It's time to get off of foreign oil. Even if gasoline prices should plummet we need to support Pickens Plan all the way.

Best use of solar panels

I ran into this article recently that I think is worth sharing. For those of you who have driven into an open parking area to park on a hot summer day only to find the shady areas are all taken. You have looked everywhere, dreading to shut down the pleasant air conditioning in your car, you have been forced to use the brightest spot to return and find the heat in your car could be used as a glass blower's furnace and it's going to take the ac at least 20 horrible minutes to cool down and get com… Continue

Who killed the electric car?

Who killed the electric car?
Documentary film is a convincing indictment of the oil industry, GM and the Bush’s administration efforts to thwart the mass manufacturing of the electric car by US automakers.
“The EV1 was the first modern production electric vehicle from a major automaker and also the first purpose-built electric car produced by General Motors (GM) in the United States.
Introduced in 1996, The EV1 electric cars were available in California and Arizona as a lease only, as well as th… Continue

Now's the time to put pressure on Congress

It' time for everyone in Pickens Plan to put pressure on Congress, if you have already, do it again, urge your friends to do it too. Use the new Pledge and Congress link on the website.

Partisanship and Lobbyist are hurting us again

Dear Pickens Plan friends and members. Partisan politics and lobbyist efforts are slowing down the progress of Pickens Plan and Alternative energy. We need to stand united in our call for a comprehensive energy policy that includes the entire spectrum of alternative, renewable and clean energy sources as well as drilling for oil and natural gas wherever it’s available in our country.

Hello,
We have not met yet. But you may have heard of a non-profit community organization that I am affiliated with here in Placerville? We are Residents Involved in Positive Planning, Inc. RIPP, Inc.
You may have heard of us through El Dorado Counties plan to move the Dump/MRF to Missouri Flat Road.
My name is Mike Mueller and I also live in Placerville. I am also a member of the PickensPlan and am concerned about this nation and its energy use.
That is why I thought to contact you today. As it has happened in our attempt to stop the MRF relocation to Missouri Flat Rd. It has come to our attention that El Dorado County is not at all taking advantage of the Alternative Energy potential and assets that we have from our garbage. Or all the methane potential of the old Union Mine landfill site. And others.
I am inviting you to become informed and involved in your own town and RIPP, Inc. as we assist El Dorado County in making the most of its assets.
We have made some great progress thus far and have many supporters in the area and are always looking to educate and encourage participation.
Please call me at 530-406-9025 or email me at: mikemue2@comcast.net
Thank you for your concern,
Michael Mueller, RCDD,DCCA

New World Order – The International Network

In the world before internet there were universities where people would congregate to share knowledge. Graduates moved into jobs, Governments or started their own universities or organizations to capture their own piece of the pie, forever thankful to the individuals and systems responsible for their status and well being.

Now we see the new world order evolving. It is a virtual world anchored to real people who perform real functions in a rapidly changing environment.

The virtual internet society has its own social structure with self appointed voluntary participants. It had to 'start' with something. Old concepts of power and worth, service and success have been modified to suit an environment where real communication and real knowledge is the medium of exchange. This is not about writing missives and following directions. It is about establishing a dialogue with another individual and enjoying the company of that other person. A person who does not belittle or pity you. A 'giver' rather than a 'taker' . It is about teaching and being taught.

With power by the people for the people, the captains of industry are also the navies. Within weeks we will see graduates of the Pickens U create their own Nings tied together with Twitter. If you can set up a 'my page' you can set up your own Ning social network. That is all 'we' need to manage our problems. Massive projects can be carried out by the co-ordinated input of millions rather than by the few hundred who 'control' the resources.

What the heck do we do with all the bricks and mortar universities?

CAN YOU HELP WITH 10 for THE PLEDGE PUSH?

Hi FredDC

It has been a while since we kept in touch last!

We are now over 1.2 million suporters. We will need many more if we are to beat back the damn lobbyists and special interests. Can you help with the pledges? Every American needs to sign on. With pledges we can fan out and reach so many. It is an easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. I was able to get 300 signed in the first 4 days - everyone wants to to get off of foreign oil. We may never have a golden opportunity like this again!
ARE YOU IN?

Best
Kim
