Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I've been studying EVERY form of "Alturnergy" since The Mother Earth News was printed in grayscale. Much too numerous for this venue. I recently returned from Germany where I videoed wind turbines by the HUNDREDS, both on and off grid. I passed a rest stop where six trucks were laden with 200' diameter blades, to mount on turbines larger than 3 school busses. They are also cellular nodes, on servo requiring zero maintenance. More than five manufacturing Logos were noted, and it sickens me that we will now buy from them, what we refuse to make ourselves.
What excites you about this campaign?
Some serious (not slim) "Pickens" to energize this plan are helpful, but government at EVERY level is in the path at every revolution we turn. In addition, we need miles of factories, spitting out a windmill-a-minute, and affordable conversion kits for cars to force the switch before the tax guys catch on, and make life difficult.
i want a CNG-mobile with signage to demonstrate the necessary changes at public events
What do you want to do to help?
I'm retired, mobile, and vocal. What's the game plan?

Gary,
Thank you for the friend add.
As you stated in your comment, the open tanks and ponds are subject to outside pollutants - which of course also includes growing the wrong types of algae.
The bags grow a specific type of algae and are not subject to pollutants from what I have researched (in particular, Vertigro's system which is a "closed loop"). As to how they could be used in public atriums, etc. that I think would be difficult. Someone always has to screw with something (kids in particular) when open to the public.

Gary,
It would appear that since we are the same age, that we also seem to have the same interest with the algae to oil concept. I find it absolutely fascinating.

CURRENT WORLD'S LARGEST WIND TURBINE -- Enercon E-126 at SEVEN + megawatts! (by comparison TBP's Mesa project will use 1.5MW GE units) The Queen (Liz) bought one, & the HQ is in California. Com'on Mr. P!, you can't be outdone by Her Majesty! (Maybe he's lookin' for a 10MW)
Here's an article outlining the "World's Largest Windturbine Purchase" by T. Boone Pickens & Mesa Power Inc. (his utility company) This first phase ($2 Billion) has a net cost of $2 Million per megawatt capacity, over it's lifespan, plus operative costs.
