- Being raised in the Rocky Mountain states, I have a deep appreciation for green ecology. I understand the impact of petroleum on our environment and the need to reduce, if not eliminate it. We may have to sacrifice a few bats (they will find a new location to live, they have had to relocate many times in since the beginning of time) and focus on the bigger picture.
The Unitied States is in danger. We have enemies who would like nothing better than to extinguish our shining light of Liberty. The way they can do it is through oil. We must eliminate the possiblity.
We may take some lessons from Germany. Several of thier villages are virtually off the grid now. They engineered the Volkswagen, and look how long it has lasted, still popular after decades.
We are on a new horizon, a never before destiny, like the pioneers.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- The sense of adventure. We are in new territory, a new frontier.
This is our big chance to become green and free in the USA. This is our chance, now especially with the Stimulus Bill funding, to make a difference here at home and abroad. Let's do it!
- What do you want to do to help?
- Organize and energize support for the Pickens Plan, by making it relevant to indivduals. Address the Chamber of Commerce, and other social groups in our little city. Add links to the Pickens Plan web on my other existing webs. Talk to Sen. Cornyn (already started) to get his support too, along with Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

I drive it every day I get 30MPG in the city on CNG
It holds 4 GAL of CNG so about 100+ mile to the tank.
It still can use gasoline just hit the switch on the fly.
I have my oun Home Refueling Station so it cost under a $1.00 a Gal.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
The creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Please go to "THE PLEDGE" (at the very top of this page on the blue header). On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue, and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS". Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE PLEDGE
Carry some copies with you and get as many as you can signed and faxed back to Boone. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a part of the "100 CLUB" by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to that growing list!
BRING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN
The more members we have the bigger our voice to Congress! With enough members, they will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort. If you bring 5 members and THEY bring 5 members… well you can do the math!
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. Now is our chance to be a part of the solution!

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
We can always use new, fresh Welcome Wagon “drivers”! It is important that we greet each new member of Pickens Plan (as I am doing now to you!) and let him or her know what can be done immediately. If you have some free time during the day, let me know and I will send you explicit instructions! They are also on the blog on my page.
