What's up Nashville? Does anybody know if Piedmont has any plans to put a fueling in locally? Do they run their service trucks on CNG?
Is there any action locally? We should keep each othetr informed of who talks to whom (or whom talks to who?). I…
PS I read your SeekingAlpha blog on NG infrastructure --- very good article with facts from EIA. It is obvious you have done your homework. A question: assuming a gas distribution pipeline runs right past a C-store and has enough gas capacity to ser…
Mike - thanks for the links to the engine retro-fitters (is that a word?). I also already knew that Tennessee only has 3 or 4 refueling stations statewide. As many homes and businesses are served by natural gas here in middle TN, we know that infras…
Mike: thanx for the reply. I work with a lot of producers in the Appalachian region, including New York. Still lots of gas there; the Marcellus and Utica Shales are just uncovering the tip of the iceberg. I have been waiting for years for this idea…
the cost of a Phill is $3-4,000 installed. the bad news is Fuelmaker doesn't sell or service them in many states, and TN is not one of them (i tried already). read more on natural gas transportation in my latest article here:

Welcome to the Tennessee 4th Congressional District Group for the New Energy Army! If you live in TN-04, please join us to learn more about Pickens Plan events and activities taking place in our District.
Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Petroleum engineer with 25 years experience in the oil and gas production industry. Lived in Oklahoma where they have a lot of filling points at gas stations. Wrote papers for grad school clean air studies.
What excites you about this campaign?
T-Bone is da man! Finally somebody to lead us from the desert. This idea makes too much sense NOT to push forward. American gas for Americans! Using more American gas would put more Americans to work on American rigs which use American steel, pumps, dozers, chemicals, etc and pay taxes to American cities and states and royalties to American landowners. It is either that or keep send our $$ to Hugo Chavez, Iran, etc.
What do you want to do to help?
Help figure out if Piedmont can open up a few filling points throughout the state. Then encourage a few folks to jump in, buy or convert their car to CNG (maybe getting a Phil station from Honda for the garage) and GO! The word would spread by mouth - stop waiting for the government to lead the way - we will all die of old age. Like T-Bone, WE must lead, not follow!

Gazmeister55,
We have enough Natural Gas in this country to keep us independent from other country's for generations to come so I agree we have a lot of places to drill but we have so much that we are actually burning it off in places and that is gas we could be using to move Big Rigs and Cars instead of just burning it off.

Gazmeister55,
Welcome it is good to see someone with a lot of hands on experience is here with us all. I hope everything we do is able to get it done but it is an up hill battle here in TN. as they are so set in there ways and are not to good about change. But that is what this country is going to have to get into there minds it is change or go into the worst depression ever. Or we are going to have $150 a barrel for oil and us having to pay it. I just don't get the people that are still saying drill baby drill. There is nothing worth drilling for in this country. All it would do is make a lot more places across America with ruined soil and generations of the same thing we are going through now.
Victor

Take Action Link
The “Take Action” link was created to help make our collective voice heard. The “Take Action” link is on the top of your screen under the PPlan Box at the top left side. The Pledge-Fax Your Statement!!
Please read, sign, and fax to the number listed at the bottom of the Pledge page. It would be a great help to the Community if you could download the pledge, distribute, and persuade others to sign. This is a great way to let lawmakers know of your interest in the reduction of foreign oil.
Please tell friends to check out the site and read the Pledge.
