Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

Helped in construction of a solar greenhouse at Camp Sumatanga near Gadsden, AL in 1982. For my new modular home that will be arriving soon, I plan to use a thermosyphon (no circulation pump required) solar water heater. I use flourescent lighting at home and plan to install a backup 12 or 24 V DC LED lighting system. I bought land as close as I could find to my workplace to allow me to bicycle to work occasionally.

What excites you about this campaign?

I'm glad someone is willing to do more than just talk about our future energy conundrum. Now if only we can get our government officials to wake up!

What do you want to do to help?

Let others know that there is a workable plan, that we need to keep pressure on out government agencies to step up to the plate, and that there are steps homeowners can take such as selecting energy-efficient appliances and automobiles.
