I've been doing a bunch of amatuer research, and have found that there are a bunch of ways we can all reduce our energy use (and therefore oil consumption) on an individual level. Smarter (and slower) use of your car is only the start.

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?: Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: My father is an expert in emissions and as I was growing up we spent a lot of time discussing alternative fuel and energy technologies. That's how it became an interest of mine. I beleive that we need to develop and promote renewable energy. I also believe that expanding U.S. energy infrastructure is important for our economy and national security.

What excites you about this campaign?: I believe that Mr. Pickens is absolutely right, that America has to achieve energy independence. Failing to do so will be detrimental to our country's future. Our politicians don't seem to have a grasp on what a solution looks like and they spend too much time talking about technologies that are yet to be developed and thus impractical in the near term. Too many people are too quick to blame the oil industry for high oil prices. So I am very excited to see an industry insider set forth a plan that is practical and that will have near term results if implemented. By the way, really enjoyed the interview on CNBC this morning.
