I am not really sure how a person goes about converting a car themselves. My dad can get kits and installs them into cars, but I do know how a person goes about getting a kit themselves. You would have to contact him at his business, Tulsagastech.com. I can currently by nautural gas at any Oklahoma Natural Gas Location for 90 cents a gallon equivalent. Gas prices vary in different states. ONG is required to sell gas at their cost with no profit; However, if someone in OK were to open a Natural Gas Station they would charge more than .90 a gallon to make a profit. Because ONG is required to sell the gas at cost, most people would just go buy there gas at ONG locations, rather than going and paying more at a privately owned station that raises the cost. ONG sets their cost of gas once a year, so the gas price is set for a whole year. My car is a Honda Civic; It gets the same MPG as a Gasoline Civic...about 30MPG. I do not believe that a car loses any power when it runs on Natural Gas. However, a car is probably going to run the best if it was designed to run solely on Natural Gas, rather than a gasoline car converted to NG. Most of the people in my family have cars that have been converted, and they frequently pull big race car trailers and haul things constantly. Feel free to check out Tulsagastech.com to learn more about it. I am no expert on Natural Gas (just my dad), but I will always try to answer your questions.
